Fingers and toes crossed!

Mrsix, I hope you're right. For now, we'll be waiting... Let's see how good your "sources" are. Where is the icon for fingers crossed?

I will try to confirm. They have been playing this very, very close to the vest. Here is hoping!! Maybe they are playing it close to vest to some, but I was preparing dinner for my children when I received word. I thought it was a joke until I realized the source

No disrespect, as this is an anonymous internet message board, so I'll observe caution, but I will cede that your track record is quite good on this kind of stuff.

Im still very sceptical but still have a few questions.
Is definite like announcement coming soon, or just like 70-30 again? Is it a reliable source, or are you hearing the same birdie as lic?
Why would you lie about this? Do you enjoy giving others a glimmer of false hope just to take it away?

I will cede that your track record is quite good on this kind of stuff. Am I senile or did the press conference discussion begin with a mrsixer sendoff to Jeff and Roy? Is definite like announcement coming soon, or just like 70-30 again? I don't know why people (not you in particular, sleepy) treated the earlier press conference like a be-all-end-all NBA announcement. He has about 10 1/2 days to make a final decision by my count. I'd expect something by then. If not, no news is good news.

Pardon my ignorance but what is a done deal? Staying? The earlier title of the thread indicated that he'll be staying.

easyed, the original title of the thread was something to the effect of "Jeff is staying." So yeah, "done deal" = staying.
I've got my fingers crossed.
[EDIT: jacko beat me to the punch!]

Hmmm... I don't know, isn't JG supposed to have a workout with the Sixers tomorrow? If this has truth and "inside" sources are starting to spread the word, I would expect that workout to be cancelled and for us to know real soon.
Otherwise, it wouldn't be good for JG if insiders were spreading that kind of word and he went through the motions of a pro workout, when coming back is a "done deal." Wouldn't build that much goodwill with NBA teams if they found out.
I am hoping that the workout is cancelled and we find out officially in short order.

I think the reason myself and others believed the press conference was the be all end all was because when asked about what would it take for him to come back JTIII responded that they are beginning interviews for an agent.

Oh, and i seem to remember you broke the press confrence announcement before anyone else, is this the same source? A much higher power. Now, jeff could still change his mind but I would bet my mortgage that he stays.

James Mays of Clemson just announced he's coming back, the first of the pre draft campers to do so. Hopefully Jeff is next.
