Ummmm...... Ohio shot 52% in the first half. Very good, but not an insane "lights-out" percentage. That's what scares me the most. When they weren't hitting their open shots, we were giving up a bunch of offensive rebounds too. That's pretty much as badly as you can play defense.

Benimon, Vaughn, Clark=no offense, visibly slow on defense. Freeman: Non-factor. It's become a two man scoring output. The great 2nd halfs against Louisville and UConn were led by Freeman. Doesn't look like that is physically possible at the moment. But there is absolutely no hope without a complete 180 on defense.

Is this the worst defensive half in the history of Georgetown basketball? If anyone else has seen a worse one, please let me know. I haven't.

Defensively we can't look any worse. Can't make a comeback if you can't make a stop. Ugh.

This has rapidly devolved into the worst-case scenario. A bad team now knows they can beat us. Any legs left after the Big East? Sure doesn't look like it.

Well, this is going poorly. Ohio looks awfully comfortable.

I'm wondering how this is going to affect the scalper market that I'm about to head out into. It's so bad you really can't stand outside for long. I wasn't really expecting a monsoon.

I'm on the train heading to NY. I assume I'll have to go the scalper route. But does anyone know what sections the Georgetown people are in? Might be difficult, but I'd like to try to get somewhere close to my people. Can't wait!

Great effort, but a long way to go.

Kind of feels like the Carolina game in '07 when they started missing. (Knocking on every piece of wood).

A couple of lapses notwithstanding, we're playing at a high level since Austin's return. Really hope we can say in a couple of weeks that we peaked at the right time. Oh, and please win this game!

Marquette was up 7 with a minute to go and now has completely collapsed. Ugh.

And Marquette gives up a 3 at the buzzer to force OT. Good lord. (And Syracuse is good for nothing, in case we didn't know already.)

That'll improve the mood dramatically. Terrific 2nd half and a really good win.

I'm sure this was posted elsewhere, but I believe the comeback started when Wright got the technical with Rautins. Hated the number of Orange shirts, hated watching us get pushed around for about 30 minutes, but I loved, loved, loved the effort in the second half. Even the crowd redeemed itself.
Wish Clark's three had dropped, but we gave ourselves one legitimate shot at winning. Down 21, that's all I could have hoped for. We've got no choice but to try to build on it now.

If anyone was expecting all this to make Tiger a different guy publicly, here's the answer. He's still going to be as much of a control freak as possible, say as little as possible, and he'll try to go right back to playing golf the same way. Maybe the TMZ circus won't let him, but he's not going to give an inch without being forced to. Not sure that's the best PR strategy long term, but I don't really think he cares.
