There's an alert on the New Jersey Transit web site that rail service is currently suspended because of the weather on the Northeast Corridor line. Take heed.
I hope that doesn't cause problems with any of your travel plans, but it certainly impacts mine!
If I see word the alert is over and service resumes, I will post accordingly.

My understanding is that parts of the turnpike are shut down as well.
Windy as hell 'round these parts.

I'm wondering how this is going to affect the scalper market that I'm about to head out into. It's so bad you really can't stand outside for long. I wasn't really expecting a monsoon.

No service alerts currently posted for Amtrak, so maybe there is some hope there. NJT buses are also cross-honoring train tickets.

Sorry I couldn't post a subsequent update, but my power went out right after I wrote my first post.
Looks like NJT is still down, as the lobby of Penn Station is jammed and all of the scheduled trains have "DELAYED" in all caps next to their listings.
Drove up and am happy to report I'm typing this from inside Madison Square Garden. I am also completely soaked.
May those stuck find alternate ways of getting to tonight's game.

Thanks for the update. I'm monitoring the NJT website and Amtrak and will post updates to the extent they are offered. Nothing yet on the Amtrak website, unfortunately - seems like a train is being held in Philly, per MrSixer in another thread.
The latest from NJT: Northeast Corridor, North Jersey Coast, Raritan Valley & Atlantic City lines SUSPENDED due to weather-related issues. Morris & Essex service SUSPENDED between Summit and Dover. Hoboken Terminal CLOSED due to flooding. Main, Bergen County and Pascack Valley trains are operating to/from Secaucus.

Amtrak is suspended between NYC and Philly. Does not affect NYC-Boston service. NJT still suspended as above.

My daughter got stuck in Philly due to Amtrak and had to watch the second half (all she could see after waiting in a stopped, foodless train that turned out to be not going anywhere) in a hotel.
Certainly dampened the night for me.

Apparently the lines are *still* down. I am not looking forward to walking through the lobby of Penn Station in about 30 minutes.
From the NJT site:
"Northeast Corridor, North Jersey Coast, Raritan Valley & Atlantic City service SUSPENDED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE due to storm damage and flooding. Morris & Essex SUSPENDED between Dover & Summit. Hoboken Terminal CLOSED due to flooding. Main, Bergen and Pascack trains operating to/from Secaucus only."
Yikes.

Sitting in NJT lobby at Penn Station at 12:50 and still no movement on trains out of the city. Hope the fellow HoyaTalkers can keep posting as I'm still too worked up from the game to try to close my eyes (and just my luck, probably miss the train when they get back up and running!).
