Is this one of the strangest sports stories or what?
2:25 AM, Thanksgiving night (Fri. AM), Tiger suddenly hops in his Escalade and can't even get out of his driveway onto the street before running over a fire hydrant and crashing into a tree?
The (friendly?) local cops say alcohol was not a factor? No wine with their Turkey?
Mrs. Tiger desperately tries to get a dazed Tiger out of his locked, smashed car. Can't, so -- being Mrs. Tiger Woods, she gets a GOLF CLUB and smashes in the back window to get into the car?
Will we ever hear the true story behind this bizarre occurrence?
As my son said, it's not like this was Randy Moss or someone when we can just brush it off with a shrug and a "so what else is new". We are talking about Tiger Woods. One of Sports GOOD GUYS. It might as well be Arnold Palmer or Jack Nicklaus.
Surprised that no one has posted on this yet. Stay tuned for lots more info to come out.

Apparently Tiger became distracted and the rest is history.
Who knows if this is accurate.

Apparently Tiger became distracted and the rest is history. Who knows if this is accurate. I believe every bit of this. 1. Hit a fire hydrant and was knocked unconscious. Yeah right. 2. Hit it so hard he had to be pulled out of the car through a broken window. Yeah right. 3. 2:30am, no alcohol involved. Yeah right. 4. The day after NY Post/Deadspin reveals an affair. Kwinkidink. Here's what happened: Drinking ---> Jealous wife ---> Throws something at him ---> "That's it, I'm getting out of here" ---> "Oh you are, are you? Well I'll make this a covertible for you and your wh***"(Smashes windows with club) ---> "Oops that Big Bertha accidentally hit him a little. Oh damn, now what. Um car accident? Good enough. I'll call 911." (End) |

Just one comment. It was said she broke the window and got him out of the car. But it did not say she dragged him to the back of the SUV. If he crashed with the doors locked, she would have to break A window to unlock his door and get him out.
Not suggesting we know everything that happened, just commenting on that one detail.

Windermere police Chief Daniel Saylor said that officers found Woods lying in the street with his wife hovering over him. "She was frantic, upset," Saylor said in a briefing Friday night. She told officers she was in the house when she heard the accident and "came out and broke the back window with a golf club," he said, adding that the front-door windows were not broken and that "the door was probably locked." |

After further research: This suggests it was not the tailgate window: WFTV-Channel 9 offered exclusive photos of the accident scene shot by an eyewitness who didn't want to be identified. "You can see the SUV's front passenger tire smashed into a tree," reporter Blaine Tolison said. "The eyewitness also said there were two golf irons in the street and both back-seat windows were broken." The lovely FL TV reporter concluded her report by listing the companies that Tiger represents like AT&T and.... NIKE -- pronounced like BIKE. TV reporter? Doesn't know that NIKE is not pronounced like BIKE? Where do they find these TV people?
