JT II on Alonzo at the 1988 US Olympic Trials (Alonzo just graduated high school)
"People started off asking me if Alonzo's here because he's going to Georgetown," said Thompson before Saturday's scrimmage. "I don't hear that question any longer."

Hmmm haven't see thing mentioned anywhere. Came along a post on a message board that Creen was still coming after MA so did a little research. Found this, its not too alarming but definitely enough to make you a little nervous... "Not sure if this is just a kid being a kid or what but Moses Abraham was quoted after the Derby Classic as not sounding as if his recruitment was completed. He was asked about IU and whether they were still recruiting him. His reply: "It's just a commitment. I haven't signed anything so I could still change my mind.'' Asked about his IU visit he said, "I loved the place to tell you the truth. I loved the coaches. I loved everything about it.'' Now, what does that all mean? I really don't know. He sounds like he has a lot of people influencing his decision right now and I'm guessing he's headed to Georgetown. Oladipo said he would continue to talk into Abraham's ear about IU though. He said he and Moses talk from time to time and he has told him how well he thinks Abraham could fit at IU." blogs.indystar.com/hoosiersinsider/archives/2010/04/time_to_catch_u.html

Abraham was interviewed and asked loaded questions by Indiana reporter. He answers questions honestly--and handled himself very well. Talked of why he liked Georgetown too. It's hilarious the attitude of Hoosier fans was after seeing him--well that and fact he was booed during starting introductions by Indiana fans in attendance. Guy is more advanced then I thought--but he's got a ways to go to be a frontline player.

remember when coaches used to respect verbal commitments in basketball?
Wasn't it only like 2 seasons ago that that was the norm?

Remember when coaches weren't creepy stalkers desperate to turn around a moribund program before the boosters realized they were overhyped frauds?
