If Greg stays, we should have a really good bench - too many options not to.

Yes! We Did it!
I would love to see a frontline of Moses (Center), Vaughn/Lubick (Power Forward), Monroe (Small Forward).

way to go JTIII!
Georgetown> indiana. It's clear he was just humouring those saps and taking advantage of their midwestern hospitality. It's always been about georgetown. The simple and easy choice.

I like how this class has rounded out after the Roscoe sh!tshow. Am I the only one who feels that we did better with the Abraham/Bowen combo over Roscoe? Not that we couldn't have had it both ways, but given a choice between the two I like what we got.
Welcome, Moses!

So I don't really think you can read too much into this, and good luck reading the tea leaves but what the heck: given that his mentor and uncle had conversations with III and Pops, I wonder if Monroe's future was discussed? This makes me wonder if the thinking is he'll come back: Boncore said Abraham could help the Hoyas in a big way next year, especially if Greg Monroe were to return and he could learn from him. “He’ll be a big part of that. He should flourish in that system if Greg Monroe comes back. They have a real shot to win it all. He’ll be a sparkplug off the bench and he’ll learn from Greg.” www.zagsblog.com/2010/03/25/moses-abraham-to-georgetown/

great news, although given the recruiting saga i will believe it once midnight madness begins! his defense should translate immediately and earn him some minutes early. also have to say that the IU fans impressed me - were all over the story, and gracious about it (so far) over at the IU scout board upon hearing the news.

The best shot blocker since Ewing you say...
Mourning 3.77 Mutomobo 3.69 Ewing 3.45
This does not take into account subjective elements like altered shots, intimidation, defensive help, etc.
In any event, this is elite company and it would be an honour to be mentioned in the same breath as any of these great defensive bigmen.
Welcome to the Hoya family Mosses.

Any prep player that got JT JR. off his butt MULTIPLE times to recruit him HAS TO BE REALLY GOOD. As a freshman if Moses can provide a little "Michael Graham" on the boards and in the lane it will also allow Julian to play hard with no worries regarding fatigue and fouls. I think Vaughn could really excel if he went full throttle all the time.
Blue Team PG: Wright SG: Clark SF: Benimon PF: Monroe C: Moses Res: Bowen
Grey Team: PG: Starks SG: Freeman SF: Hollis PF: Nate C: Vaughn Res: Sims, Vee
Who do you think wins? I don't think there wil be as many LETDOWNS next year.

At least he's not saying Moses decided to come here because Greg is leaving.... Welcome Moses - you made the right decision!

Glad Moses is coming aboard. Let's hope he comes in, is willing to work hard, and helps make us a real defensive team. If Greg comes back, I trust we are going to be very good offensively. I hope between Henry and Moses we can get some good interior defense off the bench.

Apparently Moses averaged, 17 pts, 15 rebounds and 8 blocks a game this season at Progressive Christian.

he's a teammate of jordan goodman's at PCA - hopefully moses' commitment and future successes bode well for our ability to lock up JG.

I am a big believer that the losses to Rutgers & USF were caused by 2 major factors: 1) Lack of practice intensity & competition for minutes. 2) Fear of committing fouls during the game.
JT III wants to win BADLY. Every starter now has a mirror in practice Wright/Starks, Freeman/Clark/Sanford, Hollis/Benimon/Bowen, Greg/Nate, Julian/Henry/Moses. If you don't guard and get after it next year you will sit. Committ a foul? Big deal. Committ another one and make it harder.
During tonight's classic between Xavier & KSU Gus & Len mentioned that after the loss to Kansas Clemente and Bullen started "really getting after EACHOTHER in PRACTICE".
I honestly believe if Monroe returns the Hoyas will be as poised to win an NCAA title since Alonzo Mourning's freshman season. I believe they will hold the #1 ranking at some point in the season (when was the last time Georgetown was #1?), be a number one seed in the NCAA Tournament and win the BE Tournament Title. Am I getting ahead of myself? Maybe. But I believe today (Moses signing & comments by his handlers mentioning a title and no mention of Greg leaving) was a big day for the Hoyas.
