Thanks for the update -- glad to hear we are so well positioned with Biggie, it's early, but it seems like he would be a great guy to add to the program -- can never have enough 7 footers, especially locals.

Great article -- let's make sure Duke gets a copy! It is interesting to see which recruits from this year's class are named when people discuss the class -- it seems to be all over the place. I have seen each of them emphasized in one way or another -- will be interesting to see who has the biggest impact.....there is no consensus.
You're right, Doyel has an interesting take on things -- his article calling out Calhoun earned him a lot of respect in my eyes.

I agree with the sentiments of the responses. Whether he is ranked in the top 150 or not, there is enough info out there on Bawinkel to know he's got game (I saw him briefly at ABCD and would echo it). Add that to the fact that he is being recruited by other heavyweights, and the fact that I have a ton of confidence in the scouting abilities of our staff, and I would be happy to add him. The other factor is that I do think he would be a nice complement to what we have -- a 6'5 shooting guard with a good intermediate game. Having said all that, I also agree that Crews would be my clear #1. The timing of everything will be very interesting -- with Bawinkel coming to our Midnight Madness, and Crews at UNC that night -- will it be first one to committ?

It's got to be right up there -- mainly because of how far we had fallen relative to where we were.....to me the best part is that we are back to building our sucession of talented big men.

Great job MCI -- better than ever!...or maybe it's that I haven't been this excited in a while. Egerson sounds like a stud -- how did this guy slip under the national radar so far? I caught Kenner action once this summer, and it was the game that the frosh missed & Ewing supposedly had his worst outing --- despite that, it was very clear that Ewing is not only ridiculously athletic, but also surprisingly skilled. I also loved the camraderie he had going with Green. Can't understand how Davis couldn't figure out how to utilize him at IU.

How tall is Spann? I'm assuming somewhere in between Bowman and Egerson.

Thanks for the info MJG -- looking forward to the update. I would love to get either Macklin or Crews, but given Macklin's size, he would be my first choice. He fits so nicely with the rest of the froncourt, and getting him would make a big splash and re-establish us as the place for big men. I really don't care that he's a one or two year guy because over the next two years we'll have some veterans, and Macklin would just put us over the hump. Plus a class of Rivers, Summers and Macklin represents the nucleus of a great team -- you've got your PG, swingman, and bigman.

Based on that press release from the Big East, I am still confused as to whether ESPN Plus will pick up the local feed, or only covers those "games of the week", of which the Hoyas have three. I guess we'll find out soon enough.
