Ha - before I read anything nowadays I do a background check -- there is so much bias out there it makes me sick.

First, check out this guy's bio: www.collegehoopsnet.com/user/joey-whelan"Joey is a student at the University of Maryland where he is the play-by-play voice for the Terps football and men's basketball teams on the student radio station WMUC Sports" Hey little Joey, why not focus more time on why your team has been mediocre to bad over the last 5 years.

Well that's how we took down Capone.

alexd do you spend all your waking moments lurking the boards of every other Big East team? congrats on Roscoe -- I wouldn't trade that commit for Saturday's W, I'll tell you that.
maybe you should spend your time breaking down tape on how UCONN can beat Gtown -- obviously Calhoun needs your help of late. and before you bother typing out a response about UCONN's success, nothing will convince me you guys don't have one of the dirtiest programs in the country up there, so I for one wouldn't trade places with you at all.

Glad the drama is over - situation just didn't have the hallmarks of a classic Hoya recruiting victory.
Also, how many times can the guy on the other site be wrong about recruiting? I wish he would start making market calls so I could take the other side.

Also have to limit turnovers to prevent run-outs.

I believe that if Monroe grabs that rebound over Hayward we go on to win the game.

Greg was pretty soft tonight - needs to play much tougher.

Monroe has to play much stronger for us to be better than average in the Big East. Thought he was pretty soft frankly in this one -- won't cut it in the Big East this year.
And the Marquette shooting was mainly due to open looks -- the D was not great tonight.
Sorry to be so negative, but I don't feel we played particularly well in most facets.

It's unbelievable how conferences just feel like they can raid other conferences; also crazy how disloyal schools can be. More specifically, I am losing some respect for JoePa.
Having said that, for those closer to the football situation who would the Big East look to pick up as a replacement? Memphis? If we did a pure swap of either Louisville, Cincy, or Rutgers for Memphis I personally would not lose sleep over it form a hoops standpoint. However losing Cuse or Pitt would stink.

Unfortunately he may be the best player in the country -- at least the best I've seen thus far.

What's funny is my buddy had just asked me whether the boards had started meltdown yet.

I think it's a situation where you kind of have to get the win -- first game, on the road, and it was really important this year to erase the bad taste in everyone's mouth from last year. My guess is Hollis and Sims play more and more each game, with more Nikita mixed in as well.

Almost as much fun for Yankees fans as savoring the victory is seeing the reaction of Yankees haters -- thanks guru and others for enhancing my enjoyment today!

That call on the Swisher tag play was an absolute joke -- ump was not even looking! I cannot believe how bad that was. A clear make-up call for the pick-off play at 2nd. How do you do a make-up call that blatant at this level & time of year? I didn't think I'd have to deal with that kind of robbery/incompetence until the Duke game in January.
