First, check out this guy's bio: www.collegehoopsnet.com/user/joey-whelan"Joey is a student at the University of Maryland where he is the play-by-play voice for the Terps football and men's basketball teams on the student radio station WMUC Sports" Hey little Joey, why not focus more time on why your team has been mediocre to bad over the last 5 years.

this is assuming that the gameplan was not to get it to the highpost and not to attack...judging by the post game quotes this is CLEARLY not the case

Sigh. I graduated High School with Joey. I will be sure to bust his balls on his facebook wall over this.
He did not even have us ranked in his pre-season top 25, if I recall.
He's also a yankee fan! Boo! Hiss!
Nothing to get worked up over. Not like that time he beaned me in the head in little league.

Ha - before I read anything nowadays I do a background check -- there is so much bias out there it makes me sick.

i mean, theres nothing controversial about this article. you beat a zone by crisp ball movement which creates good spacing and getting the ball into the high post. when we did that (beginning of the game, randomly throughout the rest of the game) we usually scored. when we spent 20 seconds of the shot clock passing the ball back and forth between 2 guys about 35 feet from the basket, we didnt score.
should we run every princeton/gtown offensive set against the zone? probably not. should we attempt to beat the zone like you get taught in middle school basketball with quick ball rotation to get people out of position, drives and feeding someone who flashed to the high post? yes.

Ha - before I read anything nowadays I do a background check -- there is so much bias out there it makes me sick. The corollary to that is that just about every schmuck can write drivel that makes its way onto the internets. (Not saying that's the case in this instance, because I didn't bother reading this one, and I have no intention to do so. But if I was a betting man...)

We got the ball to Greg in the middle when we could. That is where his 6 turnovers came from. He needs to work on his foul line / elbow jumper. He can't drive or back down a defender in the middle of the zone and the high-low pass was either deflected or the shot blocked. Shoot that jumper and have Julian get in offensive rebounding position.
