It took 13 years but JT3 finally yelled at someone, and of course it wasn't even a ref...

For anyone advocating a negotiated buyout to extend the payment over some period of years, let me just remind you of what a laughingstock the Mets are annually on Bobby Bonilla Day.

What if VCU doesn't go to the Final Four? What if Ronny Thompson was still coaching at Ball State? What if Coach K never won a National title? Would he still have a job? Don't know and don't care. What does that have to do with Georgetown basketball? And Coach K has won five titles, so feel free to reword that useless non-sequitur. But for perspective, Coach K hasn't had a single 13 year stretch of his career without multiple titles... More to the point, at least ask useless rhetorical questions that hinge on a single possession dictating the decisions of a multimillion dollar athletic program and coach a decade later.

It's a pretty straight forward question: what's his leash without a final four appearance and two sweet 16s a decade ago. You know the answer. You're basically taking out his three best seasons and asking what the difference would be. Of course it would be different. This is a silly argument. I mean what if we made Sweet 16s or better in 2010 or 2013? Then I also don't think we're having this discussion either. Couldn't agree more. Kind of the point...

What if Ray Allen misses that shot in the BET championship? What if Esh pumped no fists instead of two? What if Steph Curry wore Under Armour shoes when we played him in 2008? It's a pretty straight forward question: what's his leash without a final four appearance and two sweet 16s a decade ago. You know the answer.

1. Owens shot would have gotten us to a round further, but doesn't really rebut the argument that functionally any analysis of JT3's record hinges on, " Well, he went to a Final Four." It's not illegitimate to ask whether if he was seconds away from never playing past just two Sweet 16 appearances in 13 seasons whether we'd even be this far. If the answer is no, then it's a sign it's time to cut bait.
2. If Fred Brown isn't picked off, we have another banner from 30 years ago, BFD. What's that got to do with a discussion of whether a coach who was literally an arguably terrible call ( I say it was a foul anyway, but if they called a travel half the country would have agreed...) away from having no tournament resume AT ALL to fall back on should still be coaching.
Not to beat a dead horse, but in that scenario, isn't he probably gone after NC state?

I'm sure this was discussed in the last 230 (!!, that kind of says it all...) pages, but:
What if Jeff is called for a travel against Vandy or misses?
This thread ends about 150 pages ago, I think...

I wore a paper bag on my head at the game today. Does that count? They wouldn't put it on the Jumbotron, cowards. You would expect them to? Really? No I just thought the twitter feed thing was automated haha

You've already seen this game. It was basically the Oklahoma St. game all over again. That was at least a neutral court. You really need to watch something that truly captures the essence of a massive blowout at home, that includes the opposing team rightfully running a dunk contest on your senior day for the last two minutes.

I couldn't watch the game today. Should I watch the tape late tonight? Just watch 8 or so minutes of the 2013 Syracuse Verizon game and then 32 minutes of 2013 Pitt game...

Senior day. At home. Against our chief rival (it is what it is these days...). ..
Lost by 26, weren't in the game for basically 30 minutes, and the game was notable for me because after botching two straight possessions out of a timeout with turnovers, JT3 finally had a successful play out of a timeout for what feels like the first time in years. And that play was a drawn up 30-foot three poInt attempt for the at best 9th player in his rotation.... .
When we were up 15-11 my dad and I discussed when the collapse would come, 8 min or 12 min mark. By 4 min left we were down double digits. Aside from our stagnant and terrible play., even our collapses are now predictable.
Just end this. Seriously

All is forgiven now that we've run a successful play out of a timeout. Drawn up 30 footers from Reggie should be every play from now on...

Two timeouts: one turnover, one shot off the backboard... It's time. The last possession was a mess. But again - the one before that was an excellent play. Peak was isolated down low, and was open, until Govan hesitated too long, then made a stupid late pass. That one was not on the coach. Tomato tomatoe. For a coach who says he coaches a read-based system, it sure looked like he hadn't coached what to do when you miss the read and what not to force to go to a second option when you're not decisive enough to hit the key man.

LJ should not have given it up. Bad coaching job at the end. No screens, nothing. And we are an astonishingly low IQ basketball team. The decision making in the last 4 minutes was mind numbing. Dribbling into double teams, the lob into traffic... that stuff is supposed to be coached out.

Literally just texted my dad, do they even get a shot off here?
Answer:, out of a freakin timeout: No.

Probably just to hang the 8 seat wide "Fire JT3" banner that was sent to me by a SJU friend... Classy. I'd say the snapchat geofilter is actually pretty genius. An excellent use of $, curious how much it ran. Anyone have a picture of it to satisfy all of our curiosity?
