I'm not assuming anything heading into the tourney regardless of how the game turns out on Saturday. We will be one of the favorites either way, but considering how close many of our BE games have been, and my personal opinion that we still aren't playing particularly well, I'm not confident heading into the tourney. That being said, lets beat them twice...and i would also hate to lose to Pitino again. He's close to being in the bottom feeders of the college basketball ranks with Calhoun, Huggins and Calipari.

before entering the main page of guhoyas.com another page pops up with all the teams that have been defeated by our Hoyas at Verizon this season...on the right Louisville is the lone team, and underneath it says "Nike Dunk Promotion"- Anyone know what that is?

Adam Rittenberg (Gottlieb Jr.), wrote an article for espn essentially chalking up another "lucky" victory for our Hoyas. I have been a pessimist all season, as i've felt we haven't played up to our potential...that being said, we stepped up when we needed to today... I know this is clutter in a way, but i feel like this article needs its own thread,... my fav. part being "Neither did Marquette, which received tremendous performances from Matthews (season-high 22 points), Jerel McNeal (17 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists) and James (15 points)." I am concerned that another Gottlieb is on our hands... McNeal was 5-21 from the floor, and 7-12 from the line...if that is a "tremendous performance"- i deserve a DI scholarship. Rittenberg also claims that that John wasn't fouled on his three atrempt... even though the replay clearly shows a chop to his wrist... espn continues to give themselves black eyes with these awful hires... here's the link sports.espn.go.com/ncb/columns/story?id=3272542

Now that UCONN is good again, they will prob have the most fans at the garden, as in past years when they have been very good...and i do not want to hear that stupid U-C-O-N-N chant ever again, so I hope they lose their first game. I also would not want to play ND, I know we've had the upper hand in games against them lately, but they are a hot/cold shooting team...and when they're hot they rarely miss. The way our offense has been playing I don't think we could keep up with a hot ND team.

awful start to the second, one of their guards was 3-3 from 3 in the first half, and we decided to continue to leave him open in the second...My frustration with this team keeps building

Story of the first half...we love to shoot , and miss 3's (3-11). Rather than using our superior talent, we lower ourselves but not moving on offense, and chucking up 3's. We have a bunch of offensive rebounds which is why we're not down by 10.

Why do we settle for 3's? Other than our O-Rebounding we still look awful on offense...our team is too athletic and talented to stand around for 30 seconds and chuck up a low percentage three...we still haven't learned.

We can't shoot, we can't catch, we can't dribble, we can't penetrate, we can't throw an entry pass to our 7'2 center, we don't move on offense, we don't get back on D, and i guess our team has never seen a zone defense. Cuse is playing well, but even if they weren't having a particularly good, we would still be down by double digits. This is what should have happened to us against Nova... this team is going nowhere fast.

Even if cuse wasn't shooting lights out, we would still be getting blown out. Our offense is pathetic...again. This has more to do with Georgetown than Syracuse, we've been doing this for the last several games.

"just a miserable possession." We look awful, I have better hands than Macklin, and have we ever ever practiced to play against a zone? this is pathetic. We need Big John to make his way down to our locker room at halftime...for a motivational/ "get your heads out of your as***" speech.

One of the worst calls ive ever seen. Rivers bumped Reynolds harder on his drive than john was bumped. Should have been a no call, just like the WV game.
