Also, I would take a 5 seed, to be honest i would be ecstatic with a five.

I can't believe duke is preseason #5. Other than Henderson, and maybe some of the freshman, they don't have great athletes. I saw them lose to WVU last year in person, and as Joe Alexander stated after the game, playing Duke was easy after going through a big east schedule.

How did he manage to foul out in 19 minutes?

Hairston and Thornton commit to duke, they both strongly considered the hoyas...not good. Hairston is fantastic

Interesting article, but Taft Coghill jr needs to do some research. Last I checked O'Connell is not in Alexandria.

idhoya- it should be a concern when in both his espn appearances, he looked completely disinterested. If he cant get fired up for a nationally televised game, what is it going to take. Same thing tonight as the game during the regular season vs. Aminu(one in which greg was dominated). You can have all the skill in the world, but if you dont care about playing, then what good is it. III needs to get him to focus.

I know its an all star game, overly hyped, etc. But this is the second nationally televised game this season where he didnt look like he cared at all. He obviously has skills, but what good are those skills if he doesnt care to show them. I hope III can motivate him.

Unless Vern drastically improves, I hope he's not starting. Remember, coming into this season III said Vern was the most improved and would surprise people. He had 6 or so good games. In some games he looked great, in others completely lost. And he can't hit free throws. I hope Sims, Monroe and Braswell come in ready enough to play, to the point where Vern continues to come off the bench, that is unless he actually improves between this year and next. Not to mention, i kind of see Vern as an energy guy like Pat was this year, and Pat coming off the bench worked well.

I don't understand why down 7 with a minute and a half left we were walking the ball up the floor. III stood on the sideline, hands at his sides, and our guys had no idea what to do. we were not prepared to be trailing by that substantial a margin that late in the game.

The game can be summed by this moment late in second half. We were tailing by 4 i believe with a few mins left. Roy was absolutely begging for the ball. He had fantastic position, and had several inches on his defender. Rivers looked at Roy, pumped the ball over his head a few times, and passed it to the top of the arc. Roy reposted, once again established great position, and Wright looked at Hibbert, pumped the ball over his head a few times. Ignoring Roy, he gave the ball to Dajuan instead, who drove into a trap, let the shot clock get down to 1, then attempted a bogus off balance leaner, which was blocked while still in Dajuan's hands(jump ball- Davidson).

I cant believe its come to this. We have utterly collapsed. If Rivers cant stop Curry right now(and hes not) he should not be in the game, he cant do anything on offense. This is a total collapse...I can't believe this has happened.

at this point it isnt the refs, when we dont give our 7'2 center the ball when he has fantastic position, and instead let the clock wind down... and not get a shot off... I mean come on, that is not going to win many games.

That was a pathetic sequence, lets not give roy the ball when he has great position, and settle for a shot clock violation/jump ball blocked shot. What the hell

we could help ourselves if weren't 5-12 from the line. Not to mention we've turned into turnover machines, our guys need to get their heads out of you know where.
