I'm hoping for Chris and Austin to be on the floor nearly the entire game. Nice that we can finally talk about "senior leadership" and "heady players w/experience" mentioned in the same breath as GU's backcourt again

But NABC also voted him 3rd Team AA, right?

ABD.
Wouldn't mind any of the other three - Big East/Great story/Love Izzo.
Not sure Maryland was that weak of a national champion in '02 though - got waxed a couple of times on the road, but only lost 4-5 games that year, and had Dixon/Mouton/Baxter/Wilcox/Blake - even that kid Nicholas contributed that year if I recall correctly...agree that the Nat'l Championship game was kind of a stinker, but they did beat some quality teams on the way there

I'm sure there are at least 15-20 guys that should really be ahead of Scottie, no?
Although no one can execute the pump fake/lean-in like Scottie - hope Jessie eats him up in Scotland next year...

Likely gonna stay at Caesars for Thursday, but maybe check out some of the other suggestions for Thursday.
I'll likely be wearing either a Georgetown Nike pullover or a WAG shirt - let's all band together at Ceasars for those hanging there

I plan on watching our game at the Ceasar's Palace sportsbook - any other Hoyas out there for March Madness?

The usual band of JohnnyJones, dTRAIN, myself and a Talkboard lurker will be on hand in Section 69 as of Wednesday. Hope our stay is more like 2007 and 2008 rather than 2009...

HoyaFanNY - sounds a lot like the Hoyas I remember watching in college from '88-'92, with perhaps a little less finishing at the FT line but a tremendous competitor who was able to more than make up for the team's deficiencies most of the time.

What made the game more tolerable for me was the free beers at Beefsteak Charlie's w/dinner before the game....
RIP Beefsteak's.....

Pretty sure we were down big (like 15 or 16) to UAB in the NIT semis in 1993 at MSG. Probably 15 minutes left or so. While not as big as some of the others mentioned, pretty sure UAB barely scored for the rest of the game, b/c we won 45-41. That I remember. Wish we could blame the lack of a shot clock for that abomination....

Agree with you Brasky - where is Professor Thom's?
A few of us walked north 10 blocks to Copper Door - clearly had a 'Nova thing going on, with a bunch of Cornell fans as well, but we were able to watch the Hoyas in the corner (without sound though)

Tas -
Definitely not watching BoB over Hoyas - just sleep deprived, and know that if I stay out to watch Hoyas I'll imbibe and stay out late again.......
That being said, I'll see you all at the Pourhouse...

Channel 71 is MSG on my Cablevision on Long Island. While they will sometimes pick up games (like the DePaul game), they aren't gonna do it when one of their flagship franchises - the New York Rangers - is playing a home game.

Believe Rangers have a 7:00 p.m. start v. Dallas Stars on MSG, and Islanders have an 8:30 p.m. start v. Colorado.
I wouldn't expect to see the game on MSG this evening.

I'm 50/50 - stayed up waaay too late watching Band of Brothers, which a friend lent me on DVD nearly a year ago. Have to return it to him in DC Saturday before heading to the Phone Booth for GU/UConn. Through Parts 1-5 now.....
I'm sure I'll end up going anyway......I do like the fact that we seem to have that back bar at VP to ourselves when we're there.

Actually interviewing a prospective GU student at a Starbucks in Penn Station tomorrow after work. Was going to head home and catch Rich on the radio, but if it sounds like there's a contingent of you folks at the Pourhouse or elsewhere I may roll back.
