Not high enough for Florida? I didn't know that the ACT had negative scores.

While at Statesville Christian (N.C.), he took the ACT for the first time and received a score that was on a verge of qualifying. He took it again, the score jumped significantly and it was flagged.
Florida, where he was committed to at the time, said he had to take it a third time in order to be admitted. His third score was slightly higher than the first one, but was still thrown out because it wasn’t high enough.
Florida deemed him inadmissible and he wound up qualifying to play at Memphis – where his third test score was admissible.
That means that three of the top six scorers from John Calipari's team last season have question marks with their test scores.Half of Slimy's high scorers on the court had highly questioned scores off the court. Imagine that. One point of question: since his 3rd score wasn't "high enough" for Florida but was ok at Memphis, then we can presume that the University of Florida has higher admission standards in addtion to more stringent investigations into admission scores. I, for one, already knew that. Please spare us. So in order to qualify at Memphis, the ACT score must exceed zero, but admission to Florida requires a two?

A long-lost but hysterical Calipari story, coming in a bizzare but equally hilarious post about the Pistons new coach, who once led GW to a 1-27 record (the lone win comming against the Cal-led Minutemen): Jan. 21: The Colonials finally find their slump-buster in U-Mass, blasting the Minutemen, 103-77 at Smith Center and leading to this account in The Post: "When the buzzer went off, students cut down the nets, danced on the floor and mobbed freshman center Clint Holtz, whose 19 second-half points led the charge that erased a four-point deficit." Kuester reportedly had a tear in his eye during the post-game press conference. "You really find out who your friends are when you're 0-14," he says while thanking his wife. And yet he was completely upstaged by Calipari. Check this out: During the spurt that put the game out of reach, Massachusetts Coach John Calipari grew more and more furious with the officials. First Calipari took off his coat and threw it. Then after a foul was called on one of his players with 3:41 left, Calipari took off his tie and started to unbutton his shirt. That's when the officials slapped him with a technical. Calipari then stomped to the end of the bench and shook hands with the Colonials' mascot. Then he walked behind the bench and gave high fives to the George Washington student section. "I apologize for my actions," Calipari said. "If they hadn't called the 'T', I would have been barechested." As for getting slap-happy with the students, Calipari said, "I don't know, I guess I felt like Morton Downey."
