God help me if I ever cross Dajuan. Or Freeman isn't around to hold him back.
Best play of the night (that is if you ignore Nikita's threes)
Does anyone have a video?

Awesome play, T was undeserved. He was simply expressing his view that the terrible Syracuse player tried to take him out on an easy dunk attempt.

The dunk was incredible, but what really impressed me is the emergence of Dajuan midrange game...he never had that dribble pull up 15 footer from the wings last year. He looks smooth and under control this year.
Oh, and I'm completely ok with both techs tonight...nice to see some emotion, esp. after a bush league intentional foul.

T was deserved but it's all good in a situation like that. Cuse board seems to suggest that Ongonat hitting him with a hard foul like that was their favorite play of the game. I don't have any problem with DaJuan letting him know that you're gonna have to hit him harder than that to stop him from making the basket. That's rivalry.

Agree ephoya. I also noticed that Austin was also ball faking and taking the two steps inside the arc for the easier midrange. Clark has been doing that all season. After today, teams better notice that they should NOT play a zone against us. I loved the way we attacked the vaunted orange defense. Some occas. passing around the perimeter, but in general we "get it."

Yeah, we weren't just improvising tonight - we were running rehearsed plays, and time and again they worked. Great prep by JT3 and the coaches, great execution by the team.

If it weren't for Freeman, JTII would have gotten that thug he wanted because Summers was a second away from Devendorfing the guy.

Onganaet made no attempt on the ball IMO and should have been ejected.

Actually many Syracuse fans have made it clear that was their favorite play of the game. I've never seen a fanbase so happy about a play where their players got dunked on so badly while still fouling the dunker , but then again, they are Syracuse fans. Also I love how they applaud the play, then turn around and call Dajuan the "thug" for getting in his face about it. Oh Syracuse...

He got a flagrant/intentional foul. They made the right call on all sides, I just love DaJuan throwing it down and then yelling in dudes face like it was NAWTHIN!!!!

How that guy Ongenaet gets any run is beyond unfathomable. Guy commits a flagrant and still gets thunderously banged on, and then somehow gets switched onto Austin - in what might be the worst mismatch Freeman sees all season - and just gets taken and commits a foul and doesn't make it difficult for Austin. Wow.

I might be mistaken, but I could have sworn, looking up at the Big Screen, that Summers gave a little kiss to Boeheim and the Syracuse bench after Syracuse shot their technicals from this play.
I really hope that's what happened.

From the ESPN recap, re: GU's 2 technicals: "Me and Coach, we always talk about keeping our head," Summers said. "He tells me that more than I have to tell him that, clearly."
haha.

All Summers said was "AND ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" but it was fact he did it in kid's face--which I had no problem with and it's Big East Basketball-the way it should be--guys playing tough/physical.
Loved that Austin took care of it--and Hoyas fed off it--like the old days. When things get testy--Georgetown gains momentum from it--as should be the case!
