wow I guess he just couldn't wait till midnight madness. Going to be disappointing to the michigan fans who thought they had a 99% shot of landing him.

Quotes from the Rivals Article: "I mean the school speaks for itself," said Lubick. "The academics are top of the line. The basketball program is outstanding. D.C. is the most powerful city in the world. "Coach Thompson is a classy guy and a helluva coach. And (Assistant) Coach Hunter is terrific. I grew really close to him, and he is also a close friend to (New England Playaz coach) John Carroll who I'm close to." "The Georgetown system is a great fit for me. The coaches appreciate the way I pass the ball and have the ability to play like a guard. They feel I play sort of like a coach on the floor. They'll be able to run a lot of stuff through me and will use me to step out and shoot the ball and post up. The main thing is to play smart which comes natural to me." The Rivals writer (the now infamous Jerry Meyer) describes Lubick as skilled and being able to work inside and out. Which, indeed, is exactly what we want our PF to do.

Excellent, don't know a ton about his game but I've heard a lot of good things. Seems like a great fit both for Nate and for the Hoyas.
Glad that we will be able to welcome him next week. 2010 class is filling out nicely.

Wow. When was the last New England recruit to come to Georgetown (Victor Page obviously does not count)? Maybe JTIII will even schedule a game in Boston.
Also, I love that we are getting kids from real high schools where other GU students come from too- St. Mark's is not the cream of the NE prep schools, but it is very solid. Obviously Loyola (despite the fact that Thompson transferred to De La Salle, which is pretty solid from what I know) and Georgetown Prep are big time feeder schools.

Lubick is tough--and watching him finish strong around rim is great!! That is how a Big East frontcourt player should be--physical, tough, and not afraid to get after it. Welcome to Georgetown!!!
Nate played with Jason Morris and Nadir Thorpe on his AAU team as well-which are 2 Hoya recruits.
Lubick in fold should put an end to Ryan Kelly recruitment as far as Georgetown is concerned.

Sounds like a great addition. And nothing can tamper my joy for beating out Grabby twice now for a top recruit! And some of the Michy fans seem to be taking the UCLA fan approach of "who cares if he verbaled, still recruit him" mbd.scout.com/mb.aspx?s=162&f=2007&t=3155931

Wooohooo....we got our banger who can finish around the basket. This is great, great news. I like the way 2010-11 is shaping up:
1's - Wright, Clark, Starks
2's - Freeman, Wattad
3's - Hollis, Nikita
4's - Monroe, Lubick, Vaughn
5's - Sims, Riley
Wow. Even without Monroe... we are 10 deep!!! We are fast, and we are big, and we will come at you in waves!!
Looks like we will have at least 1, maybe 2 schollies open. Would love to add another slashing type 3 who can step back and drain the 3.
Welcome to the squad Nate!!!

Welcome Nate! Though we might have to start recruiting some more projects to retain our main recruiting advantage [/snark].
