I know it's not all that likely but imagine this lineup the year after next: PG: Wright, Rivers SG: Freeman, Clark 3G/SF: Stephenson, Thompson PF: Monroe, Sims C: Braswell, Macklin, RowleyorRiley Lance is a one and done barring something unforseen (age limit change, injury etc)... But they say one and dones are good if they can be the guy to give your team that bush over the top. There is no doubt that that lineup, WITHOUT Lance, has the nucleus to compete for a national title. WITH him, yea, that just might be enough to push us over the top if everyone stayed healthy. On top of that, landing Lance would be great because it would a) give us some more play in the NYC market (good for marketing) and b)would give us a player who is likely going to excel in the NBA, which means that more young players will aspire to be like Lance and want to go to Georgetown as a result (this has happened with a lot of players over the years but a good recent example is Carmelo and the loads of kids who have wanted to play for a grumpy old man at a school in icy cold northern NY just because Anthony did it). What about Summers??

jgalt, I don't think it's a complete coincidence. It's not that he's stopping by, and therefore he may as well meet the coaches. Lance's Dad, Stretch, said that he wanted to get a look at some of the schools he was interested in over the summer, and mentioned that he was going down to NC for a tournament to see UNC, and down to Maryland for a tournament to see Georgetown. Check the first page for link/quotes.

As for any further info, though, I have to defer to the recruiting masters...

It's too bad Monroe and Sims can't participate. Would have been an early opportunity for JT3 to start coaching them up. Not to mention an opportunity to bond with Hollis and other potential commits on the squad.

Lance's Dad! Lance's Dad! Lance's Dad! (to the tune of Jeff Green's Mom, sort of)

I think you'd have to incorporate "stretch" into that chant somehow.

They are going to be at summer school and I assume playing at Kenner. No, there isn't direct coaching by the staff, but they'll be playing with their future teammates, getting acclimated to college, etc.

Balla, do you ever sleep? Thanks for the news, though. Sleep is overrated. I was counting votes in Indiana, and waiting for the mayor of Gary to pimp-slap somebody ;D This is a great opportunity for Lance and Hollis. They have a couple of months to work hard on their games and bring it when they come to the Hilltop in July: The Don(warning language):

His pull-up jumper will never cease to amaze me. I mean, his range on it is ridiculous, and he's got great form. It's wild. Combine that deadliness with his ability to take it to the rack and he's just unstoppable. Plus, the vision.... Damn.

Lance will be playing in the Fred Neal Tourny this weekend at the Gaucho gym.
BTW, Hollis did not guard Lance much in this game ;D:

Lance is 23 in blue and 15 in white and Sidney is 1 in white and 21 in blue (I believe, correct me if I'm wrong).

Had a Lance Stephenson dream last night and it went a little something like this:
While doing his unofficial visit to Gtown this summer, Lance and Hollis really hit it off. Then Lance and the fellas from the picture in yesterday's thread (Green, Durant, Dajuan, Neitzel, Chris Wright, ((Monroe was there as well))) were all ballin and they had great chemistry. Then, right then and there... Lance committed to the Hoyas.
I then started breaking down how sick we'd be - Chris Wright, Jason Clark, Austin Freeman, Lance Stephenson, Hollis Thonmpson, Dajuan Summers, Greg Monroe, Chris Braswell, Henry Simms. We'd have a Mc'D's AA at every position and be the automatic favorite to win it all. Then, all of a sudden I heard an Amy Winehouse... it was 6 am and my wife's cd/alarm clock went off. It was all so good up until Amy.

BandG ;D, Now that is a good dream. I guess Mrs. BandG revoked your Big Boy morning show privileges after you made her attend some of Hollis' games. Don't forget about Dash Riley in that equation . Also correction about Lance this weekend. He is listed as playing in 3 different tourneys. I think he and Jason Morris will be at the addidas tourney in Portland this weekend.
