I have been a Hoya fan for 43 years. Plenty of ups, and my share of downs.
I have never seen such a disjointed, disinterested, broken and too often selfish unit. I don't see how we win a Big East game. Maybe if Rice goes 9 of 10 from three some night. Not even sure if that would be enough.

Get well. Not sure I can cure the affliction affecting FHillsNYHoya . Thanks. Yeah. I think we've all got an ongoing touch of the fever... The cure is more cowbell.

Just finished watching that mess.
This is a bad basketball team right now. Not enough talent. Not enough coaching. Not enough fight.
Staring 0-20 right in the face.

You werent on this board back then, unless . . . Regrettably, I’ve been on this board for almost 15 years now. Please don't be so hard on yourself, we don't regret you being on the board these 15 years.😉

Dr. Dan, we are going to win this game! The guys are going to do it for Coach! Nah, they are going to win it for my senior daughter, who is going to the game with her housemates. So does that mean we can blame your daughter - and by extension you because it is your genes - if we lose?🤔

Everyone has different experiences - even with the same coach. I've talked at decent length with 2 former NBA players who played under Ewing as an assistant. One was absolutely convinced he was a terrible coach and that he would flop at Gtown. The other thought Ewing was a great coach and was built to be a head coach. Opinions are like a**holes. We all have them. And they usually stink. 🤣 There are literally no examples of star players making it as coaches in the NBA or college. It’s a pretty large sample size too so it has to be more than a coincidence. John Wooden was the first 3-time All-Amerucan as a player at Purdue. Bill Russell won NBA titles as player-coach.😉 So not literally. But yeah, being a great player has not proven to be a career path to being a great coach.

Can't recall ever seeing so many out of control, wild drives with "shots" just tossed up in the general direction of the rim, at least outside of a middle school game. No discipline on either end, outhustled, outplayed, out-thought from the head coach down to the assistant manager. The next 2 weeks are critical for the direction of the program. Hopefully not too late to resuscitate this group.

Let's try to restrict comments in this thread to those about the newest Hoya player, not back and forth comments about other posters please. Thank you. Why should this thread be any different? 😂

*sigh* I was just remembering when this thread was about Wayne Bristol. Those were good times.😞

Although the NCAA has granted some head scratching waivers, the redshirt injury rule is usually pretty clear - only applies if you suffer a medically verified season-ending injury or condition before your team has played at least 30% of its regular season games. So last season counts as full, as would this season if he is able to play at all. Last season didn’t count against anyone so Clark should have 4 years of eligibility left… Forgot about that already, thanks Etomic.

Thanks! I believe he had a similar injury last year....i don't know any details, and hope he recovers well. It seems he's missed two half-seasons and I now wonder what that means for his eligibility. I think of him as a very skilled player and we have yet to see that in play because of his injuries. I have a bad sense of a 20 loss season. Too many weaknesses in this bunch. Weird. I came away from that game thinking we are closer to a .500 team in Big East than I thought we were particularly if we can manage to get healthy. TCU is very mediocre. They did not play particularly well. And they beat us on our floor.

Living in upstate NY, any Hoya who hits the critical shot to beat Suckacuse will forever be a favorite. Thanks Kaiden.

Best post on the Syracuse board - If Boeheim wants to watch both his kids play, he should have to sit in the stands like the other parents.

Didn't think this was happening today. What a gut check for these guys. Patrick made the right moves in the second half. And Aminu is a stone cold killer.

Not much to say. Not enough talent on this group to compete at this level. What you talking about? We were right there until the line-up with Beard and Billingsley lost touch. We have the talent, but we are just inexperienced. Not sure it is just inexperience that describes our bench.
