Did some digging..
MEAC freshman of the year in 19-20, then looks like he missed last season with an injury.
Also looks like he trains with UGIS, which Jason Clark (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q5DkmOWmgbo) and Chris Wright (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hCHvyuaHccU) have both been involved with over the years

Interesting fit...I wonder if he would be eligible immediately.
Good shooter 6'6" looks like he plays the 2/3
With Riley hurt would help now and assuming Carey is gone next year and possibly Aminu he makes sense in that regard as well.

Stats look promising.
So he transferred after missing last year with an injury? Anyone know why he didn't transfer in somewhere in the fall?

PG County pedigree. His father was a star at High Point HS and a bench guy for the Terps. Junior played a couple years at Riverdale Baptist, then prepped in Connecticut.

Have also heard there’s real smoke here. Interesting to see what he is as a player today, has been a while since he saw real action, but the upside is there. Had he been healthy last season and stayed on his trajectory I imagine he would’ve been one of the hotter names in the transfer portal last cycle.

Do we know what the injury was? According to this & a few other stories, it was a labrum issue. Don't see much info on it, though.

Wayne was on 2 state championship teams at High Point…0ne in the early 90’s with Kenny and 1989 with Andre Cole…

The more I'm seeing, the more I like. Hopefully that shoulder's not too banged up.
Local, shooter, size, experience/age. And if Aminu's gone, we definitely could use another wing.
- Harris/Beard/Anglin/Bristol/Riley - Holloway/Clark/Bass/Billingsley/Mutombo/Ighoefe/Wilson - 1 open
If he can come in this month and give us anything this year, that's gravy.

Mo’s definitely gone after this year. I just hope this doesn’t mean that Riley is out (for whatever reason) also. As far as transfers go, this is a good one - seems like a Donald Carey type pickup. Would rather see a legit PF, but this would be a solid pickup.

He actually played very well in the Kenner League before his freshman year a few years ago, before being named MEAC Newcomer of the Year. I wondered what happened to him, he seemed to disappear after his freshman year, and I didn't see his name on Howard's website or in the transfer portal. He's also a very athletic player, in addition to the good shooting.
