Someone made a good point that Louisville was in the top of the rankings last year heading in. I think we will get a good feel for where we are at after the Oregon game.

Ranked ahead of Duke, Kentucky, UCONN and Syracuse. Probably been about 15-20 years since that has been the case. Respect is back at least.

Rankings don't matter if you don't back them up.

Nova and Louisville got a good number of votes as well. The Big East is doing quite well for itself.
All in all, no big surprises on there.

Not real surpised with Ohio State and Wisconsin, but I think any Big Ten team with a high ranking has a lot to prove based on the dismal performance of the conference last year.

"Others Receiving Votes: ...Maryland 12...George Washington 2..." I figured Maryland would get one vote (Gary has one, right?) but 12? That must be part of the new ACC "lobbying campaign"

Number 8 seems about right for us...... Im disappointed in some of you tho, you got one thread saying "im terrified" and you got ppl over in this thread scared of Oregon. We are a good team ppl.... revel in that instead of running around scared.... think back to the alternative when were picked next to last in the Big East. This is the time to get pumped up. celebrate our new found prosperity, not mope around cuz we're scared of losing a game for gods sake. We are going to lose more than likely a couple or more games during the season, but we are going to win a whole lot more than we won last yr. So be happy!

I wouldn't be worried about Oregon - I'd worry about Oral Roberts - they actually made the tournament last year and have Caleb Green who is also on the Wooden watch list.

"Others Receiving Votes: ...Maryland 12...George Washington 2..." I figured Maryland would get one vote (Gary has one, right?) but 12? That must be part of the new ACC "lobbying campaign" Fascinating that despite Gary's lobby for seven ACC teams in the Tourney, even his ballot couldn't come up with more than six teams (UNC, Duke, BC and GaTech made the top 25, UMCP and FSU got 12 and 11 votes, respectively).

"Others Receiving Votes: ...Maryland 12...George Washington 2..." 12 votes from the 12 ACC teams... hilarious!
