In my view, the only way they'll be awful is if they don't play hard on a consistent basis. Cooley has always been much more of an effort coach as opposed to an x&o's coach.
It'll be interesting to see the offense since this is the 1st time I can remember him not having either a solid big(Watson) or most importantly for him a tough nosed PF type(Henton, Bullock, Diallo)on the roster.
Look forward to seeing how they'll come along during the season.
Id say for a preseason post this turned out to be pretty spot on. I had a bad feeling the defense would be bad but never imagined it would be worst ever. The offense was decent. I think Cooley's handling of Epps was bad and Epps did what a player like him with no leash does. Our best win ended up being a game where Epps didn't play. Ryan's non use will never not baffle me but then again Cooley played Drew way less than he should. A lot of the personnel choices this season didn't make much sense. I never imagined the Holy Cross loss. Let's hope Cooley learned from the profile of the players he brought in and doesn't do that again.
