This is a good look for the program… And better-attended than an early season Hoyas game! (Sorry couldn’t help myself 😀)

Makes zero sense that Gtown isn't doing something similar, especially given the lack of good news Gtown fans have had on court wise the past few years..

Are you sure this came from the Gtown side Dragon? Ron on HR says the staff isn't talking I am not sure. But Colby has visited practice and knows the staff well. I don't think he'd put out info without their blessing - even if the box score came from MD side.

My bad I honestly didn't realize he knew the staff or was associated with the program, I've followed him for a long while now and can't remember much Gtown related info like this. If this is the case, I'll take it, and I hope the program allows more transparency because we long for more transparency.

It is supposed to be a secret scrimmage. The programs are not supposed to mention anything directly. The info gets out either through the rare non-team members present or through established, back channel connections. Technically it is supposed to be hush-hush. I got pieces of info from a source (I won't respond to any DMs people may send me about this) that adds extra details and I was told to keep it private. I will honor that request. Its one of the few times I've been told not to share and this is because this info is not supposed to be widely distributed.

What good is a secret scrimmage if it's kept secret, lol. Much respect MCI, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be able to keep the info to myself especially if it was positive info. Was it positive?

Was it last year we supposedly beat Wake? My point is you don't play these scrimmages to win. It is encouraging we played pretty well against a high major opponent but MD wasn't a tourney team and I'm not even sure if they are middle of the pack B1G which is a worse basketball conference than ours top to bottom. This is solid news but nothing to get too excited about.

This is solid news but nothing to get too excited about. Last year we beat Wake without their best player and one other key guy from their team. And the Hoyas needed an INSANE game from Epps (both in points and shooting percentage) to do so. This time we beat a better regarded Maryland team WITHOUT Epps.

Encouraged by the rebounding numbers. Poor rebounding caused a cascade of defensive choices that never got solved last year.
