0-5, although they have played up in class in at least 3 of them. Another chance to work on our chemistry, maybe on our pressure defense.

Maine is easily the worst offensive team we will have played - 4th worst in the nation. Their three point shooting (24.6%) ranks 343rd of 351, and their two point shooting (41.1%) ranks 326th. They are also awful at offensive rebounds. Basically, the only thing they do fairly well is not fouling much.

I usually don’t do the prediction threads because I don’t think I’m good at it. But, given the quality of opponent I would hope for something in the 30ish range. But it often depends on lineups etc. For example, if Ewing lets guys like Sodom play a lot, it wouldn’t be surprising if the margin was smaller. |

Hope that they find a way to get Sodom some meaningful minutes in what should be an easy game against a small opponent. With just Govan and Derrickson and a very raw Walker as the post players it will invite every team to just challenge the bigs at every opportunity leading to either fouls or matador defense. Neither is a good option right now. Never expected Sodom to be ready to contribute much this year on offense, but still believe he could provide 5-10 minutes of relief when needed if he can get some time on the floor now during the pre-conference. Nothing was more frustrating than watching Mourning and Hayes sit even during blowouts during their first years on the hilltop.
