Honest question, but what would you need to see to change your mind? What's your breaking point? Would missing the Tournament again next year do it? Yes, at least I think so. Three out of four misses would likely do it for me. It wouldn't be quite as simple as that. I'd need to assess the roster, the recruits, etc. But my most basic expectation and requirement is to regularly make the tournament. Fair enough and reasonable.

In a word unwatchable. Next year will be a decade since we made the second weekend. This is a long slow slide to irrelevance. Wow, painful clarity. Program is now unacceptably unhealthy. That's not real debatable. Only question is what steps, if any, will be taken to address it. New assistants? Change in recruiting philosophy - think this season looks a little different with Melo, Hart and Bentil in our starting 5? Corresponding change in strategy to accommodate the foul-fest that is now college hoops? We have nothing even resembling a point guard in a college game predicated on drive-and-kick bball. Regime change? Any or all would be steps in right direction IMO. I think smokeyjack has hit the nail on the head here. It is probably unrealistic to expect on-the-fly systemic changes during the season, to ameliorate the team's shortcomings. The acid test, in my view, is what steps are taken during the offseason (which will be weeks earlier than we wanted) to adapt to the changing landscape. The roster, as presently constituted, is apparently unable to execute JT3's offense. The roster, as presently constituted, cannot defend effectively against quicker teams. If systemic changes are not made during the offseason, and if JT3 is unable or unwilling to modify his approach so as to maximize his team's talent and minimize his team's shortcomings, we will have another season like this, and the cries for his scalp will (a) be louder and (b) come from a variety of new sources.

I didn't notice in the TV broadcast, did Hayes travel with the team? Well, it was a home game so he was on the bench in a suit with a cast on his hand.

Yeah, I was there and, although Bradley looked pretty dapper in his suit, it was really sad to see him, Paul and Akoy - THREE guys who would likely have seen lots of playing time this year - unable to play.
Thoughts from the at-the-game experience:
1. Scary, scary moment when Jessie went down and stayed motionless on the floor for several minutes. As we all know, he returned for the second half and was pretty much the lone bright spot in an otherwise dark evening.
2. The SH fans near me got increasingly drunk and obnoxious as the game went on. I was having flashbacks to ugly West Virginia fans by the end.
3. The "dollars for books" or whatever it is called kid nailed all three of his shots (missing only the half-court attempt) during a timeout, so there's that.
4. A dance troupe called, I think, Jawani, was actually pretty darn good at halftime.
5. Otherwise, it was the most depressing in-person experience of the season, and I've been there for almost all of them.
