Dan you need to buy a slingbox for a friend in DC. Best way to catch hoya games for those of us not in the area. I could have gone over to JohnnyJones' house and caught it on DirecTV, but I'm helping my 10 yr old get ready for hockey practice, hockey game, 2 soccer games and soccer team party tomorrow. Frankly, I prefer to actually go to the games. ;D

You guys are full of it, seriously. Did any of you watch the game? It boils down to this: Georgetown MUST MUST execute! They have to get the ball in the hoop and STOP the other guy from doing it. How can you guys not see that? All these posts just miss the whole point: EXECUTION. They absolutely must execute. WATCH THE DAMN GAME.

I'm glad this wasn't in McD. Great effort to close the game. But yes, have to have more scoring from other than the guards. But they put in quite an effort in the 2nd half.

Although they only combined for 8 points, Lubick - Vaughn - Thompson combined for 17 of the Hoyas' 27 rebounds. Great Point!

Great to be following games again even if you can't find live feed to watch it. Good win for Hoyas. Looks like Hollis will lose his starting power forward spot to Nate before the year is out and that is a good thing. Hollis is a 3 and should be coming off the bench to give Freeman a break or Clark. He is not a 4. It could be affecting his shooting(1-7).

Best thing that can happen for Vaughn and Hollis is a game right away! Bring on Tulane!

Looks like we went only 4 deep on the bench and 3 of those played very little. Sims was 1-3 in 7 minutes and had 1 foul and 1 to. Jerelle had 7 minutes and 0 points and 1 foul and Starks had 4 minutes. I know that the goal is to win, but now that I see the boxscore for the game I just hope that JTIII can give much more time to the bench in upcoming games. Sanford and Bowen and Sims and Jerelle need to play to be able to help in February. Never knew of anyone who got better sitting.

Starks got a little run, and although he didn't have an impact he didn't make any mistakes and he looked comfortable out there. He and Nate will definitely play meaningful minutes this year.

Winning comes first, period. The limited bench play was a result of playing an intense game on the road against a very good team. I really did not think we would see much bench tonight, especially on the road. The fact Lubick played so many minutes tells me he is going to be good for us, this year. But like everyone else, I hope we can get the bench some minutes in the upcoming games.
Hopefully Hollis and JV got all that awful shooting out of their system tonight. I guess we will find out against Tulane.

Agree, but what we saw tonight is to be expected on the road against such a difficult opponent. Did Clark and Wright actually both play all 40 minutes? That's what the first box score I saw shows.

32 and 34.
Cal, give JT3 a break; 8 players with more than 5 mins. is fine for such a tough start of the season. I bet Monday's game will include more players.
I was more concerned with CW's 1:4 a/t ratio.

Good game guys! Hopefully Georgetown will have a great season built on the foundation of this win. Until we meet again, I wish you all the best!

Give Chris a break. He said he wants to be remembered...jwall had the arc, Brandon the throw dribble and Chris the drives through traffic ...

Soundtrack to the first half was CLANG!! Not a surprise for the first game.
Why isn't anyone talking about the defense? Holding a pretty good team under 60 with the three and the shot clock isn't bad.
Nice to see everyone on this board again.
