(Everything in Texas is right next to everything else, right?) Baylor's arena is a mere 400 miles from the office for me. If I make it, the trip will involve two airplanes and one rental car. Unfortunately my presence is highly, highly doubtful due to work this week. For any East Coasters/Midwesterners headed to Waco for the first time, Diamondbacks is a good place for a pre-game meal (keep in mind it's Waco -- don't expect the Palm), and if you desire a pre-game drink, the "Big-O" schooners at George's are famous.

I'm really optimistic about our chances. THe princeton Offense is difficult to prepare for. No one in the Big 12 runs it to my knowledge so that might give us an edge. If you knwo we actually run it unlike the second half the year.
Start from scratch hoyas. A whole new season and this one just has 5 games in it. Let's get it done. Get out and guard their shooters. They live and die by the 3.

It always seemed GU's schedule acknowledges the other 49 states except for Texas. Apart from the UTEP tilt, and the UofH game from earlier in the decade, this is like what, the 3rd trip ever in the modern history of the program to the Lone Star State? Hopefully the team will discover there is no problem Whataburger can't fix. It seems outside of the states between Carolina and New York and the West Coast, our OOC schedule snubs almost every state in the country except occasionally a couple big programs like Michigan and Memphis. Do we ever schedule teams in the mountain states or the states like Iowa, Kansas, Oklahoma etc. along with some of the deep south like Florida, Georgia, Arkansas, Bama? I'm not favoring playing much in those states - I think the regions we target make sense for OOC. But it does seem we skip a fair number of states besides Tejas.

start Henry, move summers to the three, austin to the two, and sit nikita. I don't dislike Mesch but I think Sims produces more overall per minutes played and in addition he's much more key to our future. If he has a great sophomore year, we could be very good. But a guy needs PT to grow.

Key question - does espn2 commit to broadcast complete games or are we at risk of getting switched half way through? If anyone know how to find this out (calling espn or the nit) - please do.
If it is a risk, does anyone know the games that are at the same time?

You realize, of course, that Texas is the 2nd largest state in the nation, 10th in Georgetown applications, and with 1100 public high schools and nearly 200 private, now produces more college basketball and football propsects than any other state? Comparing it to Iowa is myopic.

start Henry, move summers to the three, austin to the two, and sit nikita. I'm not against starting Henry or moving DaJuan to the 3, but why do people still think that Austin at the 2 is a good idea? I've seen enough shooting guards light us up for double digits every game already.

start Henry, move summers to the three, austin to the two, and sit nikita. Close, but it's Wright, SAPP, Summers, Sims, Monroe.

If it is a risk, does anyone know the games that are at the same time? NIT coverage is not like NCAA coverage-ESPN broadcasts selected games to the entire country. Our coverage risk is the Miami-Providence game on before us does something like go to 6 OT.
