I hope coach held practice after this game. I remember in high school after a similar perfomance our coach had us running sprints on the court while people were exiting the gym... we learned our lesson pretty quickly. As someone said post-WV, some windsprints might be good for the coach too. From Barker's account of the game: The final 37 seconds of Sunday's debacle at Prudential Center provided a microcosm for both the entire game and Georgetown's current slump. In spite of yet another dispassionate effort on both ends of the floor, the Hoyas still had the opportunity to escape with a victory when freshman pivot Greg Monroe corralled a defensive rebound with just under a minute remaining and the Hoyas trailing the Pirates 61-60.
Both of Seton Hall's undersized centers had fouled out at that point. And while the 6-foot-10, 250-pound Monroe (17 points, seven rebounds) hadn't enjoyed one of his more inspired performances, most of the 9,800 fans who had come to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Seton Hall's Final Four team probably expected the Hoyas to pound the ball inside to Monroe with the game on the line. If III in fact told the team during that timeout to pound the ball to Monroe inside, as Barker reports, should there be consequences for the three starters who blatantly ignored him? If Omar, Clark, and Henry start against Cincy, it wouldn't be the worst thing that could happen to the team. A three game skid might as well be four, if it helps Coach regain control of his players.

that's now walking the fine line between getting back control and a full scale mutiny....it's a volatile situation it will be interesting to see how it plays out

I didn't see any of the game, as I was in a golf tournament. But I did take a peek at the scores when I came around the turn. I could have sworn that I saw 18-8 Hoyas at one point. Was that a mistake or maybe a women's score, or was there a hot start all for naught?

All I have to say is players not listening to the coach is absolute high school bull. And I guess maybe that makes sense since we play a lot of freshmen EXCEPT THE FRESHMEN AREN'T DOING IT IT'S THE JUNIORS, SENIORS AND SOPHOMORES. THAT IS UNACCEPTABLE. If you want to get yours, transfer out ASAP cause I don't want you on my team. If you care about the school you play for, then maybe act like it.

does anyone have a video of the game? I'd love to see a clip of Monroe whipping the ball off the backboard. I haven't seen that since high school gym class. Between that play, the side of the backboard shot and the airballs, this was really something to watch.

Really, really, really, really, really glad I was in the mountains and didn't see this game. Really glad. Sounds like our worst effort in years. Combined with the WVU game, this would be our worst week in quite some time....
