Do people still stay at Hotel Penn? I thought they were closing that place down....especially after all the health code violations that they had as well. It was the oddest place that I've ever stayed.

The best thing to do is find a ticket from one of the loser fans after the game. Two years ago, I had mine all lined up from a WVU fan... then we went on to drop a 15 point halftime lead to the orange. Luckily I hadn't paid for the tickets yet.

Syracuse is a tougher match-up for us.
I'd still rather play them, because: 1) We'd get to end their NCAA tournament hopes 2) We'd get a chance to win the season series against them 3) I sorta miss the days of playing at MSG when everyone rooted against us
If we're going to go far in the BET and NCAA's, it'll be because we're a good team. We back down from no opponent.

We definitely want Villanova to win on Thursday Wednesday.
The game at Verizon Center was one of our worst performances, and we were still in control for most of it. Despite all the controversy of the end-game foul call, I never thought we were going to lose that game. I think we'd easily beat Villanova - Syracuse will be tougher. They match up very well against us and could easily have swept us this season. I think we'll handle either, but I'd rather see the Wildcats on Thursday.

However, Syracuse plays one of the shortest benches in the country (they run at most 7 men deep) and they are mostly underclassmen. If the game goes into OT, we want Cuse to prevail. They will be gassed.

Haven't seen this discussed here yet, and I hate to start thinking this far ahead, but Roy's conditioning could potentially be a big issue for us. I was at the Marquette game and on several occasions saw Roy motion to the bench to be taken out (coach may have kept him out for strategic reasons, but Roy was the one asking to come out in the first place). I hadn't noticed him doing that before, so it may have just been that game, but obviously Roy is only good for so many minutes a game.
Whether it's Nova or the Cuse, let's hope for a quick and sustainable lead so we can limit his minutes early.

Yes, Roy's conditioning could definitely be an issue. I've been amazed at how gassed he gets. But he's a freaking senior and this is his last stand, so he should be able to power through.

huh?
Roy just played an effective 36 minutes on saturday..
and last year he had plenty left in the tank to dominate Aaron Gray.

That's great. Playing 36 minutes in one game is different from playing back-to-back-to-back. It's tough to do, even for the best athletes, and I don't think anyone here argues that Roy is a phenomanal athlete. So what is your argument here, we can have him play 35+ minutes in the early games and still expect him to be 100% in the later games?
But, by way of reference, in last year's BE Tourney, Roy played 28 minutes against Nova, only 21 minutes against Notre Dame (Jeff had 40), and 31 against Pitt. So if history is any indicator, we benefit from limiting his minutes in the early games.
Edit: Considering that he didn't even play 30 minutes in any of the two previous games, it's a bit misleading to claim he still had "plenty left in the tank" against Gray.

We definitely want Villanova to win on Thursday. You might, but I'd rather see a Georgetown win on Thursday...

either will be a tough team. I just hope both teams beat eachother up on wednesday. I want to crush both of them but since we only have the chance at one... I'll take Nova. So everyone can stop talking about the "foul" heard around the world.

Just received my single ticket for the Afternoon Session on Thursday--This is My First Big East Championship and I am flying solo--taking the 7:25 Amtrak Train--Is there a pre-game gathering? Section 128 Row F off of Stubhub. What hotels do people recommend if your prevail thursday? just bought 2 tickets on ebay for our Thursday game (session 3) in section 424, row G for $59.00 ($29.50 per ticket) seems like a pretty good deal, right? 424 is up in the rafters, but it's center court ... i'm guessing, however, that we'll be able to move down pretty easily ... there are probably a lot of people with session 3 tickets who are fans of teams playing at the 2pm game and can't get the whole afternoon off of work anyone else taking the 7:25am train on Thursday from Union Station? gets into Penn Station at 10:42am what should i expect to pay for tickets for the semi-finals on friday? i've always been with full strips, so any scalping advice would be much appreciated
