Unfortunately the best scenario -- Cuse, Pitt, Ville -- cannot happen as the latter two are on the other side of the bracket. That would have given us a chance to have a winning record versus every team in the BE this year. Not guaranteed, of course, but it would've been cool to have a shot.

they gave us all we wanted and more at home, and beat us in the dome. no way in hell do i want to face that 2-3 zone in the garden with 90% of the fans rooting AGAINST us for various reasons Coward. "In order to be the man, WOOOOOOO, you gotta beat the man."

Keep Pitt on that side, its garunteed that they'll make the championship game and then lose But seriously I don't think we are looking at a terrible draw. Yes Nova and Cuse can and have played us tight but I like our chances at a rematch. Conversely the teams that we beat by a lot like Cincy are still dangerous in their own right. I'd personally love the opportunity to smack around the Orange, we were denied the opportunity last season and now we should enjoy the chance to inflict pain

"In order to be the man, WOOOOOOO, you gotta beat the man." Point well taken, Nature Boy, but please, PLEASE, never again refer to Syracuse or Magoo as "the man." "The afterthought" maybe, but not "the man."

I'm sure this was discussed last year, but why does the 1 seed get the Noon game on Thursday? seems like the 1 and the 2 should get the prime-time slots.
this is irking me, of course, only b/c I have class from 12:15-2:30 on Thursdays. ugh, seems like this Thursday is going to have to be the first time ever that I take a laptop to class...and UIS better hope the wireless on the first floor of ICC is working...

The reason why the 1 seed plays at noon is so that when they hopefully advance they have the maximum amount of rest/preparation time available to them before the Friday night game.

It would not surprise me at all if they beat Lville. Syracuse and Nova always play us tough and will be fighting for their NCAA tourney lives, but lack of depth, experience and discipline is what it is. i just dont see those two teams putting it together in MSG.

just bought 2 tickets on ebay for our Thursday game (session 3) in section 424, row G for $59.00 ($29.50 per ticket)
seems like a pretty good deal, right? 424 is up in the rafters, but it's center court ... i'm guessing, however, that we'll be able to move down pretty easily ... there are probably a lot of people with session 3 tickets who are fans of teams playing at the 2pm game and can't get the whole afternoon off of work
anyone else taking the 7:25am train on Thursday from Union Station? gets into Penn Station at 10:42am
what should i expect to pay for tickets for the semi-finals on friday?
i've always been with full strips, so any scalping advice would be much appreciated

Last year wasn't so bad due to the poor showings by some of the better represented schools in NYC: UConn and Cuse. I think I ended up paying about $100 (face was $85) for the semis and $140 (face was $100) for the finals in the end. I bought the semis right off the two Nova fans sitting in front of me. Then bought the finals from Notre Dame fans in the same section. I was in the 100s under one of the baskets. Section 133 or 132, I think. So obviously, you can get much cheaper tickets, but I really enjoyed my seats. I would buy them in the arena from fans. Avoid the front of the arena. Last year, the cops were fairly active in busting people outside, but that may not be the case this year. I just know, inside is where I've always done business. As a key, don't be an Edited to the opposing fans if you want to buy their tickets after their team loses. Be respectful and courteous and its likely you'll be able to purchase (or even receive as a gift) a ticket or two. Oh and definitely don't offer before the game is over. That will not only anger them, it will anger the gods. I will blame you.

At this point in the season, we really can't care weather we would have faced Cinci, the Cuse or Nova in our opening game. The fact is, we are the #1 seed and for the past 10 days have been playing like the #1 seed. With regard to having to face UCON on Friday, I much rather do that then face them Saturday. Ucon fans climb out from under many rocks for the BET Finals.
This is my 16th BET in a row. Based on my experience, I pay full retail for the first game.... then whell and deal for the remaining games. Just got my Club 77 tix on Stubhub... making the trip from LA. Hope to see you all there.
We need a big turn out Hoya fans.........................GO HOYAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Saturday, you're down to fans of 2 teams. Comments above are correct. Best shot is to buy tickets inside the arena from fans of losing teams. Nearby seats, concourse food lines, or the Play By Play bar in the Garden. I've also scored seats at Cafe 31....just hanging around and letting it be known I needed a seat or two. And DO NOT under any circumstances try to buy tickets out in front of the Garden on 7th Ave, or anywhere in that general area. The cops take that as a personal affront -- they'll look bad if scalping is going on out in the open where they are supposed to stop it. Really, the whole damn thing is pretty stupid. It happens every year. And fans of losing teams always want to dump tickets, while teams advancing draw more and more of their fans. Somehow, MSG is always sold out on Fri and Sat night anyway. A good seat for Fri night will cost $25-50 over face. Better to buy it sooner than later. Price goes up. and you can always sell the ones you bought if better seats come along. Good Luck. Wish I could join you!

One more thing, I just listened to the post game comments from a link Dan posted in the thread about GU v UL stories. Jon Wallace said he was glad they got the Conf. Title and now it was "time to go to NYC to get another one"!
That is awesome. These guys are going for Titles. They know what it's like. They know what it takes. They have at least as good a chance as anyone else. And they play well under pressure and in close games.
I think UCONN and L'ville will be the toughest outs.
GO HOYAS!

As much as I want to play the Cuse, I hope they lose to Nova and have to go to another NIT. That would be even funnier than actually beating them. Unfortunately, Marquette cr@pped the bed, thus giving SUcks hope for another week. If Cuse had lost to MU, then a win agaisnt Nova wouldn't do much, but I ahve to think if they beat Nova, they just might be able to inch their way in. And really, no one wants that.

I don't think you can. What I've seen people do is leave their bags at one of the hotels across the street (tip the doorman) or at Cafe31 (tip one of the bartenders). dTRAIN
