BIG WIN for the Nationals last night at San Diego. ACE John Patterson beat Jake Peavy who is one of the better pitchers in baseball. The Nationals have rebounded well after their DISGUSTING loss to the Braves last Sunday.
Last night's win over Jake Peavy was very satisfying considering what happened the last time the Nationals faced Jake Peavy. Last month, F.Robinson got mad and benched most of the regulars and put in the 'NATIONALS B-TEAM' against Jake Peavy. Not surprisingly, J.Peavy DOMINATES the 'B-team'(I believe he struck out 10 in a complete game shut out at RFK and even drove in a run) completing a 3-game sweep for the Padres. That's another example of WACKINESS from Frank Robinson. Why would he put in his 'B-team' against a star pitcher?? Sometimes, I feel that the Nationals are winning in spite of Frank Robinson.
Barry Bonds will play his first road game since the steroid fiasco at RFK starting on Tuesday. It's been pointed out that the D.C.fans suffer from ADULT A.D.D., with that being the case, the fans will probably do the WRONG thing and cheer for him when he comes up to bat. For those of you planning to attend, B.Bonds will most likely play the first 2 games of the series and then sit out Thursday afternoon's game. ESPN reported he will not play in afternoon games that follow night games(he didn't start in today's game). I already bought tickets for the Tuesday and Wednesday night games because I realized the BULLETS/WIZARDS FAN SYNDROME would be in effect meaning LOTS of fans will come out to watch the opposing team and tickets may be hard to get on game day.
