Most frustrating thing for me its that I still think this was an easy second round draw. We had to play like total garbage to lose.

Yea, the play where Otto's shot went out of bounds at the end goes back to the offense 95% of the time. Didn't see a replay though, so maybe there was something I missed.

The fadeaway jumper with legs wide open (a la Jordan) in the 1st half made me laugh and cry. Pls, JT3, show him some video of what he's doing vs. what he should be doing near the basket. IMO there's no other explanation than Henry has a green light from JT3. It's amazing how many jumpers he's missed and he keeps shooting it. What are his FG #s for BE play? Henry is shooting 35.2% in the BE with a 27% TO rate. Both numbers are very, very bad. He is also using by far the most possessions on the team at 29%.

Does it really matter? Nate comes out after 2-3 minutes anyway.

Fantastic win. One moral victory is OK but as SFHoya said, real ones are a lot more enjoyable.

Haven't seen anyone else mention it yet, but I thought Adams had a pretty significant limp getting up and down the court.

Three of our biggest needs next year will be ball handling, outside shooting, and shot creation, and it seems like DSR can help in all of those areas. Really hope he announces for us.

Did anyone notice that the rules on technicals after fouling out changed today? After Hopkins got his 7th on what should have been a one and one, Clyde's got 2 shots and the ball (previously would have been 1 shot, then the 1 and 1). After Hopkins picked up his 8th on a Monroe layup attempt, Clyde's inexplicably got 3 shots and the ball (previously, it would have been just 3 shots).

Hey RDF, what position does Hollis think he should play? I've never seen so much made out of a stray comment by a guy's mom.
I have no idea why a 6'7 guy with a poor handle and mediocre at best lateral quickness is a "natural" SG, but whatever. There is very little difference between the 2 and 3 in our offense anyway, and Hollis is probably better off not making it obvious that he can't handle a press and will get blown by if he has to defend guards. If he plays the 3 next year it'll at least leave a little mystery instead of making it clear he isn't a 2.

He would have been a lottery pick this year, if III had played him where he should have not at the four. Why? Just like Summers, offensively Hollis is better off playing bigger slower guys so he can shake them for threes and occasionally take them off the dribble. He'll have a harder time getting shots off against quick guards because he can't consistently post or create openings off the dribble. He'd play the same role on offense but against a tougher defensive matchup. I've said this a ton of times, but while the team is better off with Hollis at the 3 (but probably not at the 2), his stats won't be.

Why are there a few people on this board that are obsessed with moving Hollis to the 2? If you do that, you are limiting one of the strongest points of his game (rebounding) and putting more pressure on some of his weaknesses (ball handling, passing, lateral quickness).
Perimeter players are almost always better offensively playing up a position, and now people want Hollis to play down a position. Doesn't make sense to me, especially when we are going to have ball handling, passing, and perimeter D issues as it is.

Keep in mind that Greg Monroe was always knocked for not having the motor. It was why he dropped from the #1 recruit his year coming out of high school and it's what people were saying went he went to the NBA draft. I don't think the Pistons are worrying about his motor right now and I know I never worried while he was at GU. I'll take plenty more guys with supposed "motor problems" if they play like Greg. Not saying Hopkins or Bolden are the same players as Greg, but only that motor problems in high school senior years are not necessarily indicative of how they play in college and later. This is a pointless comparison because if Bolden was half as productive as Monroe was in HS nobody would be complaining. I don't care how poor your effort is - if Bolden was as talented as some people seem to think (or at least thought a year ago) he wouldn't be scoring in double digits once a season.

Pretty much every team should go for 2-1s far more often. Another good NCAA tourney example of totally blowing clock management was Temple against SDSU, when they had the ball with about 1:05 left in a tie game.
The worst is when teams will get the ball with a little over a minute left, kill the clock, and then start looking for a shot when the clock gets below 35. Just shamefully dumb - you rush a shot and lose a possession.
Most coaches just aren't very good at this kind of stuff. See the NFL for many more examples.

We desperately need an elite player in 2012 - can't go 4 straight classes with just "solid" players.
So hopefully Anderson works out better.

Seems to have more upside than our previous last minute recruits.
How's his range? Didn't see many 3 pt attempts on youtube.
