gonna be tough. they are uber athletic. That said, Hoyas are very athletic too and take better shots. Still not sold on their coaching. Young cat looks like a dot com dude.

Is the time right? Someone said 2:30 in the other thread. That was me, but I very well could have been wrong. I thought we played Memphis at 2:30, but I can't follow these brackets. I am the last person who would advise anyone to take my word for it on anything (unless the question is what is good and bad music). If someone knows for sure, please post. My DVR needs to know in case I can't get away from the office and/or close my door to watch online.

We play Memphis at 5. The 7th place game is first at 230, then us for 5th place, then the 3rd place game between the losers tonight, then the final around 10pm est.

Thrilled to get to see the hoyas play again so soon. I dont know how many games well see up here in CT this year. Such a positive start to the season. Lets keep up the intensity.

Why is everyone talking about Georgetown playing Tennessee?

albeit they are better this year, but I predicted we would beat them pretty soundly last year. We match up well with teams that play undisciplined and run up and down the court. Let's hope it's more of the same from them this year.

Memphis is much better this year than last. They also have a healthy Witherspoon. I predict a close win. Maybe 65-61 or 72-69...........

We match up better atheletically, but with all our youth it may be a struggle to play with the level of discipline needed to rattle Memphis. We need strong performances from our starters, playing under control. Should be a battle.

Hopefully that double OT game will slow them down a bit!

Memphis is quick and athletic. Lots of good scorers. But they are very undisciplined both at offensive and defensive end, which plays into our coaching strengths. Play good transition defense. Shoot well over the zone, by moving ball inside-out (think we will see a lot of it, as Memphis' over-agressive man defense will struggle guarding the back-cuts). And Keep up rebounding effort and this is a great matchup for us to get a key early season W.

I'll try this again: When is the last time we played an OOC team twice in the regular season?
