Is Arkansas on our schedule? My bad I was looking at 2019 in coming class, I'm concerned with a PG and filling gaps here at GU not the SEC. Well if Arkansas is competition for a player that you wanted, they completely relate. Also, there isn't a coach better at getting transfers than Eric Musselman. Just look at his rosters at Nevada that were successful. They had the Martin twins, Jazz Johnson, Jordan Caroline, Tre'Shawn Thurman, Trey Porter who were all transfers. Those were his top 6 players. That's just what he does best. So if he's competition, it's hard for Patrick to win that player over. So, mentioning Arkansas is relevant. Very relevant. especially if the transfer is local for him.

I don't think I would have been happy with 10-3 entering conference play but now things have changed.........don't look past anyone and handle the Zone and we should be 10-3 entering the Provy game The opponents have been better than we all expected. Oklahoma State won the NIT season tip off including dominating an Ole Miss team who should make the tournament. Penn State has looked very solid and their one loss was very fluky, to that same solid Ole Miss squad. Texas went into Purdue and beat them, something that UVA couldn't do. All these teams have been much better than expected at this point. The Hoyas also got to play Duke, which is huge for the SOS. SMU is a talented team, but they haven't played an opponent like the Hoyas. It really could throw them off having to face a high major opponent.

Mac was absolutely spectacular tonight. He completely took over and dominated this game. Even with an excellent performance from Lindy Waters, Mac overcame that and was excellent. Terrell Allen was incredible tonight also, the box score doesn't do him justice. He created plays and opened up this offense. The way he played makes you feel much better about this team and how it overcame a subpar performance from Yurtseven, especially in the first half. Mac and Allen made plays and took Oklahoma State out of their zone, so they will be key in games like that. There still was an issue and it was that third scoring option. While Allen was great and aggressive at the end, is he really the third scoring option for this team? He's not the type of player who's going to take 10 shots a game, he's a facilitator and a defender. He fits this team very well in that role and trying to transform him into that third option might actually hurt this team. Pickett, Alexander, Mosely all have the chance to be that guy. Great team win, I'm absolutely ecstatic.

Am I wrong to think Omer is soft inside? Never gains any ground when backing someone down in the post. I wouldn't say he's always soft, but he has a horrible tendency to overthink plays and not shoot the ball. He needs to be aggressive. He needs to look for that pass out of the double. He is just missing some looks in that high post. I feel Pickett might be better in that role, letting Omer run the baseline and take advantage inside.

Hoyas need to come out aggressive. Allen, Pickett, and Mosely need to shoot it more and not play afraid. If they come out aggressive, the Hoyas can take this game.

Allen has been much more aggressive so far. Good. Mac looks good and the halfcourt offense looks much better. Good start. Just need a taller body on Waters, like Pickett. See if Mosely works on Mcgriff and if not, run Alexander and taller players with those two on the floor. Have to disrupt Waters. Kid can shoot.

For reference of what that kind of usage looks like at the college level, R.J. Barrett's usage last year was 31.5% and pretty much anyone who watched Duke last year came away with the feeling that he was a massive ball hog. If Allen and Mosely continue their current propensity to shoot and Pickett lacks confidence in his shot like he did against UNC-G, then we might need a massive ball hog. They need to get that confidence, ASAP. 100%. No room to not shoot when you are open now. It would kill the flow of the offense and ruin that particular set, and maybe even allow for an easy bucket off of someone else having to take a bad shot, or a TO later in the possession. Those three probably will see PT together, so let's hope they actually shoot the ball and it's not more of feed Yurt the ball and hope he scores/ hope we get it to him. If they don't Mac and Yurt may combine for 50 shots a game. Even with Yurt's foul trouble.

I am a fan of the general sentiment on this thread, but can we please spell Jagan MosELy's last name right? He's a senior here and deserves at least some sort of recognition in that right. It seems petty, but it's a sign of respect for someone who people on here would agree, deserves it.

I think it answers a few questions. One, Alexander and Gardner are eligible to play as the investigation is yet to be completed. Two, LeBlanc wasn't dismissed as the investigation isn't completed. But there are certain questions involving LeBlanc game one suspension and what that entails. Could that have been based on part of this matter, something entirely different or what? We won't know, but it raises more questions there on potential suspensions. It would make much more sense if either of the two possibilities is true, or at least truer. Assuming they can't comment on the case involving LeBlanc, would they be allowed to mention he was involved and that was a possible motivation for him to transfer? If he isn't allowed to mention any individual, this statement makes much more sense, and it seems he isn't allowed to. The man thing to clear this up would be specifying the LeBlanc game one suspension and how that is/isn't related to the situation. And this would come from coach most likely, not Lee Reed.

Interesting to say the least. No idea how rotations will work, how the players will come out or anything. Fatigue, who starts, who ends up playing, everything. Hard to be optimistic, but definitely curious and intrigued.

Verbal Commits lists 4 star PG Naseem Khaalid from South Carolina still on the line, with it between GU and Florida State. Jaden Stone a 4 star SG from Australia is still in the running, but doesn't look like he has narrowed anything down. I’d go for grad transfer Mike Smith out of Columbia. A competent coach with recruiting connections could have us in on some short-term and long-term PG options by early spring... Not a PG, but a potential grad transfer out of Harvard in Seth Towns. Again, not a PG but he didn't play in his junior year (last season) and is yet to suit up this season, due to injury. Going to be an elite grad transfer.

Have to say something. People need to know. It's insulting to all fans if they say nothing. Almost as if having fans is a burden on them. They need to speak and say something. No silence anymore. No excuse.

This situation is horrible. Can't say anything else. Nowhere near my area of expertise, but this is horrible. No other words. I can only see how this plays out and what happens to Gardner and Alexander as a result. I hope the victims are ok and feel safe.
Let's remember that an allegation is just that-- an allegation-- until and unless proven. I know that's not popular in this contemporary culture but it is the law, and is in the best interests of all parties concerned.--Admin
Correct, I should've clarified that. My apologies. Just completely in shock.

Nothing is out with Alexander. Does anyone have any idea how he could be in the listed Primary Injunction Order and not be punished? Maybe just a mistake, or more information to come out?

Still can't have the only half-court offense be to give the ball to Yurt. That would cause the same problem with less talent. Has to be involving everyone. Mainly though Yurt, Mac, Pickett, and Galen. Those are the guys. At least, those are who I think are the guys.

What makes you think it's going to turn around? Allen and Alexander stepping up? Pickett playing much more aggressive? Less of forcing it to Yurt despite losing to huge weapons? I need something to make me feel better about this. Please, give me the guide to optimism.

So, I guess Mac, Jagan, Jamorko, Galen, and Yurt? With Allen now backing up Mac, Blair backing up Jagan, and Gardner backing up the forwards? I'm thinking Allen, Mac, Jamorko, Jagan and Yurt with Alexander also playing starter minutes. Blair has a similar role with more PT, as does Gardner. Both have to be more efficient, and will have to score more. Galen will have the ball much more, so his minutes will be more noticeable. I still think for this game that Galen should start over ether Allen or Mosely, but I don''t think Ewing changes that much so quick.
