Time to resume playing as a TEAM, which means talking on defense, owning the defensive boards, no more silly turnovers and sharing/moving the ball on offense to get good shots. It shouldn't be that difficult. The guys need to rip off a string of wins now. They have enough talent to do it, just needs more focus and execution.

OK State is gonna punch us in the face, and given what we have seen so far this year we will shrink in response. Not looking forward to this one.

This is on ESPN Plus, right? ‘Cause there is no way I am going pay-per-view to watch this. I can also pretend the game never takes place.

Will be interesting to see the line. I’m guessing Pokes -10.

We limit the turnovers, then we have a chance. Sustain defensive intensity and let's reassert ourselves in Stillwater! Go Hoyas!

The Oklahoma State PG (Isaac Likekele) is a really tough kid. He is a 6'4, 215 pound sophomore who is built like a strong safety. He plays tough and smart. He's not a very good shooter, but he is a winning player. Akinjo is going to need to have his head fully in the game against this guy. They also have a 6'4 guard who is a very good 3 point shooter, with very deep range (Thomas Dziagwa). They are playing very well. We'll need a Texas/Duke level performance to stay within 15 points of them.

I was worried about the UNC-G game all week, thinking we'd come out flat, wouldn't be up for the competition, we'd only see the name on the jersey and think we would win just by showing up etc etc... It was my hope the team would surprise me and come out ready to play, put the game away early. So much so that I didn't bet on UNCG and take the points. Turned out I should have made that bet and my instincts were correct.
I think I'll listen to my instincts for this game - we're going to take a pounding. When I saw a few minutes of the Ole Miss OKST game the other night and that they were up 30 odd points, I knew we'd be facing trouble. Wish I had a better feeling about this one going in.

I thought Texas would beat us by 25, given how both teams had played going into that game - and look what happened. We can beat Oklahoma State - they are not really more talented then us, they are just playing better. But if wa play our A game we can beat them. Unfortunately, we only play our A game sporadically. And we throw in an awful lot of C/D games when we don't play our A game.

Here's how it's gone for as long as my narrative carries itself. The Hoyas stink one game, then everyone comes out and says that they suck and are screwed and Ewing this... Akinjo that... etc then they come out and somehow win. I very much remember that Marquette game or the Nova game and it made no sense (last year). So... maybe this is one of those. It just seems to fit after a "hoya4ever" has decided to quit. This is the weirdest Hoya bounceback spot that it may just work. But LeBlanc will need some PT.
Also note, this same narrative works where they play really well (NYC) then stink (UNCG). So... take it as you will. I could be making this up.

Which team shows up? The MSG Hoyas or the Cap One Hoyas?

Is there any local TV option in DC besides ESPN+? I don't have a streaming option for that channel other than my computer, which has proven problematic in the past.

I'm assuming ESPN+ can't be watched on a TV, just some sort of internet option?
I'm technically unsavvy. Anybody who knows, please let me know. Thanks

Thanks It's only an Internet streaming option and the game won't even be legally available at any sports bar if I read the subscriber agreement correctly. help.espnplus.com/hc/en-us/articles/360026126892-ESPN-Subscriber-Agreement

Would be a big win if we're able to pull it off. Need to win at least two of the next three in my opinion - can't dig ourselves into any deeper of a hole and could really use some more OOC quality wins

Consider that you may be better off not watching the game. Seriously, this is the future as ESPN tries to move more content to these additional streaming services. Unfortunate but it's happening everywhere. Check out the NBC Sports Gold product and CBS has one and I believe Fox is on the way too.

I thought it was just jctnhoya4ever. FWIW, hoya4ever is still an registered poster but has not posted since Apr 30, 2015. - Admin
