Bristol should not be sniffing minutes at a high major. I can’t believe he’s out there.

This is not last year, we have more talent. Not really we recruited guys from lower levels.

Murray and Akok look good. Spears and Bristol do not. I suspect they belong at the lower level they were previously at. Teams will double Wahab all year, not because they can’t stop him but because it’s either a turnover or an errant pass.

If the current roster reflects a “win at all costs” approach then we are failing miserably. There are very few P5 teams that would trade their roster with ours. It’s still lacking in talent.

If Queen goes to college he’s going to Maryland.

Maryland is killing it locally with how quickly they are building relationships with the new staff. Lots of positive buzz there. We will continue to take a backseat since we aren’t intent on prioritizing locals. This is very frustrating but not a surprise.

He’s really good all around. Just started focusing on basketball full time recently. He had a monster summer. Can really shoot, defend, and rebound. Can do a lot of things off the ball that a lot of young players struggle to do. The things he does well translates to college in a winning manner.
I don’t really think we had a chance here. Read that the family grew up as Maryland fans. A bit of a bummer but it happens. We do need to do something locally because their staff has gone hard after locals, making it a bigger priority than the previous staff.

Aminu was surrounded by more talent and yet wasn’t as efficient as Aminu despite him being the focal point. Primo was a mixed bag. Feels like it’s a lot of shiny new toy syndrome.
We are vastly better at the 5 with Wahab back. As flawed as he was, he’s a big upgrade over what we ran out there.

Ewing aside...last season aside... Just Murray in a bubble...do you not consider him a strong addition? I'm not saying he's Jordan, I am not saying he's a lottery pick, etc... ...but for a team, program and coach that just set all the wrong records...I can't think of many if any... realistic additions to this roster better than Murray. Next years team is more talented at every single position. It's not even close. Not saying that translates to a tournament bid or 10+ wins in conference but the fact that every position has been upgraded talent wise is obvious. That’s not true. We lost our 2 best players. Brandon Murray was a very important addition. He did not have a better freshman season than Aminu.

Kerr has been leaning on vets too much. Kuminga should be playing. Warriors lack of athleticism has hurt them. They are fortunate to be up 3-2.

He’s a good all around player, not great in any one area. He’s not an instant impact guy but he’s a high major player and that’s better than what we’ve been bringing in.

He chose Georgetown because it was the best chance for him to showcase himself. A lot of us knew this. Some bought into the token quotes about academics, tradition, etc. This was always their plan.

Brandon Murray and Jay Heath were not better offensive players than Carey was last year. Not close. Now Murray is more talented, and is a better defender for sure.
But all this talk about a stacked roster is a pipe dream. We are still reaching on a lot of players, including a lot of our additions.

Maryland has Julian Reese and is the favorite to land Efe, the WSU transfer. Wahab returning there was not viable. Wahab is a high major player, so obviously his addition helps when half the roster consists of players who may not be high major material.
We can’t be selective. We went 0fer last season and still lacking in talent. Definitely take Q back.

Amen. Winning culture, stability, leadership, whatever traits winning programs have, we have none of them. Every other situation looks great in comparison. You know you can change your diaper, right? Apathetic fan bases like ours are why we allow a coach to go winless and keep his job. We can make fun of Maryland fans, they got rid of their coach because their fan base wasn’t happy even though he made the tournament most years. Any other fan base and we have a new coach. Wish more fans were passionate about winning but it clearly isn’t important enough.

Have to laugh at the notion Tre King would have led to 8+ more wins in the Big East.
