Maybe it’s a sign of change, but I heard about this from Georgetown Basketball social media before getting the word anywhere else.
(I know the rumblings have been going for weeks, but the actual scoop).

The original transfer made no sense. Too bad we can't live in the alternate universe in which it didn't happen. Glad to see Q back. Q and Akok will be formidable rim protectors.
We seem to have the pieces to be a bit dangerous.

"It's good to come home to a fanbase and a system that I am familiar and comfortable with. There will be a lot of new faces on the team and coaching staff that I have built a good relationship with recently, which makes this transition easier. I am excited to play with and work with my new Hoya team. I think coming back to the Hilltop will prepare me even more for my ultimate goal of playing in the NBA." - Qudus Wahab

So two questions:
a.) Is he eligible immediately? The comments seem to indicate that's the case b.) Do we think we are getting him for 1 year or 2?

This is absolutely fantastic news. A real upgrade to the roster, and I am glad Wahab is back. This definitely makes us better for next year. I just hope he's eligible. Because of his COVID year, he has 2 years of eligibility left, right?

I hope the offense doesn't become dumping it exclusively to Q again. Nice to have the inside presence. The black hole aspect we can do without.

BUT, if Ewing is going to do it, then Wahab is the best option to do it. Well, he's the best option we could get. Not THE best option. But, still, Patrick doesn't need any additional incentive to go back to 90s ball. This may be subtraction by addition in that regard. I guess we'll see. I can't wait to see his wildly effective mid-range game that we've heard about only from Wahab's people and never saw anywhere. It'll add a whole new dimension that no one will see coming

Great news! However, we have got to get Q operating and effective away from the basket. This will also help prepare him for the next level, which it seems as if he is also focused on.

For those who are the Georgetown basketball historians (paging DFW) is Wahab the first basketball player in Georgetown history to transfer both out and in?
Akoy Agau, who was on our roster, actually did that with Louisville, when he transferred back to Louisville after JT3 was fired.

On paper this May not look like much based on Wahab’s production at Maryland, but this may be the most important recruit of the off-season for Georgetown.
If we think back to his Big East tournament and the game he played against Nova….his ceiling was high and we were expecting big things. I think he will deliver this year. Add a couple more W’s in the win column with his recommitment to Georgetown.
