Kid is going to be a star in college. He made the right decision by picking basketball. Staff needs to set up camp outside his house and refuse to leave squatter style.

Tough football kid. Hoyas are late to the party here but there's still time

Since his announcement, college programs have been in heavy contact. Multiple offers have come through, and he has started his official visits. On3 caught up with Jamie Kaiser this weekend to see exactly where things stood in his recruitment. “I went on an official visit to Harvard and Wisconsin last week,” Kaiser said. “We’ve got dates set to take official visits to George Mason and Virginia in June.” Kaiser’s fifth visit “I like Rhode Island,” Kaiser said. “Coach Kenny Johnson, I have known him for a while. Kind of like George Mason, he feels like family. I know Coach (Archie) Miller is trying to get things going up there. He has coached at a high level for years.” Kaiser’s take “I hear from Vanderbilt, Florida, Stanford, Illinois, and Wake Forest, too,” Kaiser said. “I’m going to take a little bit of time. I’m looking to take my senior year officials too, but I will try and get those out of the way in a hurry so I don’t get caught up with the transfer portal. So probably before my school year starts. www.on3.com/news/23-jamie-kaiser-is-the-fastest-rising-prospect-on-the-eastern-seaboard-4-visits-are-set-but-who-will-get-the-5th/

One of the hottest prospects in the country, small forward Jamie Kaiser (Burke, Va.) went from unranked to No. 78 in the updated class of 2023 rankings from 247sports. Wisconsin offered the new four-star prospect in April. The spurred a feeding frenzy as Virginia, Indiana, Miami (FL), Georgetown, Ohio State, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, and more all followed suit. The Badgers hosted Kaiser for an official visit in May. "It was really nice," Kaiser told Badger247. "It was way bigger and nicer than I thought. I thought it would be really small, cold, not too many people. It was much different than I thought, I really liked it. "The campus was really nice." Kaiser has also taken an official visit to Harvard. Virginia will host Kaiser the first week of June. 247sports.com/college/ohio-state/LongFormArticle/Where-Wisconsins-commits-and-top-targets-stand-in-the-updated-class-of-2023-rankings-188007108/#188007108_3

In his conversations with the Buckeyes, Kaiser said he’s been asking the same types of questions he’s asked each school recruiting him. “It’s pretty much been like, what is there other than basketball that you have?” he said. “Because at the end of the day high-major basketball is high-major basketball. Big Ten, ACC, it’s all big-time so I want to see what else they’ve got going on that I can benefit from because if they’re going to use me to play basketball then I’m going to use the school to further myself too.” www.dispatch.com/story/sports/college/basketball/2022/05/28/ohio-state-offers-rising-2023-wing-jamie-kaiser-jr/9960832002/

Now, I'm guessing it's NIL and has zero to do with academics.

Good kid, but with GU only having a couple open slots for next season, do not see the Hoyas making a real push for him with limited space.

Considering the last half decade with the Hoyas, and the direction of college basketball generally, I don’t think we’ll just have a couple of spots open for 2023. hm

The Hoyas had every opportunity to get in early but didn't. They are behind Mason locally.
