One guy over 6’8”, a transfer from Oral Roberts who got minimal time last year. Two 6’8” power forwards, both recent transfers (Robert Morris and some CC), neither historically big scorers at their old schools. Leading returned in Nendah Tarke, who lead NCAA in steals per game as a frosh last year, scores some but not a big 3pt shooter. Coached by Juan Dixon, former UMD stud. coppinstatesports.com/sports/mens-basketball/roster

Very least we should be able to spam Q for the win.
But hope we blow the game wide open early so that a lot of guys get run. Especially Mozone, Brad e0 and Mutombo. And Anglin and Bristol/Riley/bAss to a lesser extent.
On paper Coppin is a vastly worse team than Liberty. We shall see.

Also good test for Primo to see whether he has good handles or shakey handles vs that steal leader

Can’t believe the season is here already. There are some quality players on this team and I can’t wait to see what we have. 💪. Go get ‘em Hoyas

Waiting for this season to start has felt like forever, for me. Make or break season, I believe.

I have been waiting for gameplay to resume for months. Succeed or fail, I will always back the Hoyas. I’m excited to see Murray and the rest of the Nickelberry cadre play for us, plus it’s our old nemesis Juan Dixon. Let’s go

Money talks for a program like Coppin State. What's the O/U on attendance expectation? With every seat in the stadium being free, I'd expect to see at least 9,000 in the stands to watch our new-look roster.

I will be there, but I only expect a couple thousand others.

I am not sure what the announced attendance will be (if someone claims a free ticket but doesn't show up, will they count that?), but if I had to guess I'd say something in the 3,500 to 4,500 announced neighborhood, with actual souls in the building probably being well below that. It's a game against a really bad opponent on Election Day, in DC, at a university where students (and alumni) probably care more about the midterm elections than people at most universities. And, on top of all that, it's Tuesday night. I think it's just a recipe for very low attendance, regardless of the free ticket offer.

They are playing 14 road games before Dec. 31 out of 17 scheduled. Let's call it what it is: collecting guarantee checks.

Let's call it what it is: collecting guarantee checks. This is pretty common for fringe D1 teams. A lot of school’s athletic departments are kept afloat by playing a million buy games in the non-conference slate. It’s extremely difficult for the players since they’re basically away from their classes for the entire months of November and December.

Students are the only way we get close to 4K. 8:30 tip on a Tuesday is rough.
