Suggesting the Georgetown move away from the Thompson legacy is like whining, "Why can't Coke taste more like Pepsi?"

There are concrete steps. I simply gave you a summary explanation in a few minutes during work hours.
Twisting this into Esh and JT3 is disingenuous and not appreciated.
Welcome to my block list.

You can’t cover the sky with your hand. This article is a historical account of where we were, where we are and what resources the University pours into the basketball program vs other programs in a similar position. Honest question(s): How long does it take to turn things around? How would you go about it? Great questions. Sadly, it takes as long as it takes. Not all roads are the same length. And good fortune plays a not insignificant role....like your transfer 4/5 not making an inadvertent mistake and getting kicked out of school. That is a set-back. But there is a solid nucleus there. If we can get them on track and support them with development, that is the next step. How would I go about it? I would commit to a way forward and not stray. I wouldn't re-litigate the hire and second guess myself and play out fantasy scenarios ad infinitum. I would encourage everyone to trust and believe, and I would run off from the program with a red hot poker anyone who only wanted to share negative and toxic energy.

I stipulate these are facts, but tell me what, if any, good comes from orienting our attention around these facts. Imagine you have driven off the road in your car into a ditch with your wife. You are trying desperately to get the car back on the road, but it is proving more difficult than you hoped. Does it help at all for your wife to tell you how long it has been since you were on the road and how long you had previously been on the road? It doesn't help out at all. All these 'facts' do is rile up people who contribute very little to nothing to future success and create distractions for the group trying to get things turned around.

Not sure what part is the most idiotic - the idea that Ewing wouldn't integrate talent in the lineup in December/January, that Tre "finally" realized this supposed immutable fact (both that he realized it and the time component, as if he should have picked up on it earlier) and that is of course the reason he decided to transfer. Honestly, basketball needs to start so people can keep their stupid opinions focused on what happens on the court. hm So say come January we've been playing for two months. Guys have been busting their butts to get in playing shape, learn the system and earn playing time. The most idiotic idea would be to think that Ewing would bring in and allow to get significant pt a guy who has done none of these things because he was too immature/selfish/dumb to stay in school. Say in January, we find ourselves severely out-gunned and undermanned at the 5, YES we should put in a better player and try to win some games FFS.

I wonder how long will the “process” last. When will we get there and start being a top of the league candidate and not a bottom of the league candidate? If i were easy, everyone would do it.

I find it a bit hard to believe posters want more news. Tell me the last piece of good news for the Hoyas during this part of the season. King? Akinjo? Leblanc? Alexander? Gardner?
Give me no news until we start winning some games and there is something real to talk about.

I feel like no matter whatever thread I’m in I’m reading different versions of the same message over and over and over again… It is so freaking tiresome. I no longer have time for those who choose to see the world this way.

Add another one making money off their NIL. Tyler has started a cameo...maybe someone can ask him for practice insights. www.cameo.com/tylerbeardUndercutting Ryan by $1!

Perhaps I missed something, but why all of sudden a bunch of new posts on Jalin? Is it because Tre King isn't on the team or is he rumored to be looking like an impact player already? Some are hearing word out of the program that he is showing up very positively

Your Patrick Ewing era Georgetown Hoyas, ladies and gentlemen! Is this your way of trashing Patrick? Otherwise I don’t see your point. B&G, See that toxic person? Walk the other way.

I think I’ve calmed down a little bit since the King situation became public, but I still think 8-11th in the conference is what can reasonable be expected. This team will need to be well coached because it’s roster is as thin as I can remember any Big East team being, especially down low. Harris will need to have a much more efficient season, which I think he can IF we run an actual offense that makes decisions easier on him. He shot free throws close to 90% last year which would suggest his 3P% will improve, as long as he doesn’t force shots. Obviously Aminu at the 2, Carey at the 3, and then probably Rice at the 4 and Ryan at the 5. Incredibly young lineup that will struggle early but hopefully return next year ready to improve. Don’t expect anything. Just watch and enjoy.

Hurley and Wright? Who are you guys??
Next post may say……Boeheim is about to retire at Syracuse. Maybe he can enjoy warmer weather in DC over the winter while coaching the Hoyas.
I want none of those guys. -ever.
We Are Georgetown.

Tim described the mistake of judgment as ‘inadvertent’ in his post. Not sure how that plays in

"The greatest glory in living lies not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall" Nelson Mandela. Last year we lost Jalen Harris and Dante Harris stepped into the lead guard spot, this year Tre King will be out at power forward. I see a window of opportunity and growth, who's up next? I've heard some rumblings about Billingsley from people. That he is impressing. When I watched his high school highlights, my biggest comment was that he needed to start the Hoyas strength and conditioning program so that he was strong enough to battle other bigs. Otherwise, I was impressed. Hopefully, he worked his backside off all summer.

Looks like a bunch of you will be West Ham fans on the next season of Ted Lasso. I am going to remain open to the possibilities. In fairness, Nate could probably devise a “4 out” offense featuring Igohefe as the primary target that might win a game. Maybe, but he would probably want to switch to a traditional post-up offense at halftime.

Hard to tell if our team has had more issues than average, because our administration isn’t going to tolerate or give second chances where a host of others schools might. This
