I have a gut feeling that with the Hoyas talent level they will go: 13 and 7 in conference play!

KenPom's 9-11 prediction seems about right to me.

KenPom's 9-11 prediction seems about right to me. That was with Tre King on the roster.

I have a gut feeling that with the Hoyas talent level they will go: 13 and 7 in conference play! Just out of curiosity... That would mean we are more talented than all but 2-4 teams in the league. Who do you think we are more talented than? Most teams have used the covid eligibility and one time transfer rule to get more experienced and more talented from last year, while we have (if you're being very very optimistic about our talent) stayed the same. I think this will be a mostly developmental year for our young guys, and predict probably around 5-15 to an optimistic 8-12. Excited about our young guys just wish they had at least a year to develop before being thrown into the fire as major minute players.

I don't share his optimism but really outside Nova, UConn and Xavier I can see this year being like 2018-2019 where 3 through 10 were 9-9 to 7-11 considering all the teams in that 4-11 position this year have question marks and most have a lot of new pieces that need to gel. Maybe Seton Hall can be added to the top 3.

We sweep DePaul and Marquette, get swept by Nova and UCONN, and split with everyone else. 11-9.

I honestly don't know much about Creighton or Marquette but from a quick glance they seem to be closer to our level to the point where we can sneak some wins against them.

Getting Julian to come back another year which is huge and having the BE Freshman of the Year back is a good start for sure but they still have 7 or 8 new guys on the team that runs nonstop and is prone to turnovers when you have a bunch of new faces.

I just hope we finish at .500 but, if we finish 9 - 11, I will be very happy.
