Harvey seems a perfect matchup for Jabril.

Freshman 15? Looks a little paunchy. Reaching on defense. Not elevating on jumper.

The point was he strikes one as rather contrary by nature. But, then, he comes by that honestly.

Ever notice how he habitually refuses to accept the premise (now matter how inoffensive) of a post-game interviewer's question?
I-"How would you characterize the play of the Freshmen"? III- "Th Th They're not freshmen anymore".
I- "That defense was really smothering" III- "I I It started with our offense"

Very important for Starks to stay on the court. He must avoid fouls of the hip check variety which he has a tendency to pick up.

Comical, isn't it? He is trying to convey some message and not even the closest followers of his own team seem to understand it.

Raftery is 70 and still has it. I am going to give Gus Johnson the benefit of the doubt but my impression up to now is that his excitability is painfully and embarrassingly phony and contrived.

I know of no reason why the coach could not forbid it. And I would still like to know what means.

This may have been addressed elsewhere but can anyone enlighten me as to the significance of Dominique Smith-Rivera's crossed arm gesticulation after a made basket? This "look at me" mentality seems out of step with the comportment of GU players over the years and, I would guess, at odds with what has been taught and tolerated by coaches.

I thought Stu Jackson was very good especially as it was his debut; no hype, just insight. My favorite Stocktonism of the night was when he said someone was on "the mound" (instead of the free throw line).
