We will win this game. 12-6. I can feel it in my bones.

If the Irish aren't hitting well from deep they are very beatable. We are much bigger inside than St. Johns and have the length in the backcourt to make sure all of their 3s are contested. We win this one and things look very good heading into the BET.

So freakin' important that the students, and other fans, show up for this one Monday night. Having a big, boisterous crowd behind you is a MAJOR lift for any team and it is tangible with this team as well. It being Senior Night only adds to its significance. I really hope we have a good turnout.

Not since they should have to have any additional incentive to get up for a really big game, but I was happy to see an announcement at today's game that they're giving out free t-shirts to all students who show on Monday. Need a big showing out of the crowd on Monday.
Defend the 3 and limit second shot opportunities by crashing the boards. If we do those two things we will win the game.

Indeed, this is the real Ranch. The team has exceeded my expectations and I owe them all the positive vibes I can muster here on out.
As the sage Davy Jones once said, I'm a believer.

SJU went zone and ND rewarded them by missing nearly all of their three-point shots. Like Nova, they will be coming in off a difficult loss. Unlike Nova, they have something to play for. Should be a good one.

Press them ALL game. Wear down Atkins--ND lacks ball handlers and you can wear him down. ND is a poor defensive team too--and you can get some transition hoops on them. Just like Nova though--pressure defense really throws them off and changes tempo into more favorable matchup for Georgetown.

What is the board consensus about who will start Monday? If it is Porter again, will Markel see time off the bench?

The board consensus has no role in Starks' PT or lack thereof. It was made pretty clear that the team org chart on that decision starts and ends with the guy who said, "we'll see." As it should.

Dan, are you suggesting we can't express our opinions on what JT3 will decide? Of course the "board consensus has no role". Nothing this board does has a role in that regard, but that doesn't prevent us from expressing opinions.

What is there to discuss SirSaxa? You know nothing about the situation. Is he suspended? Was it the incident in Newark? Because he was 1-9 last game? Because in the last 10 games he's shooting 38% on FGs, 32% on 3's, and has gotten to the free throw line a total of 4 times?
The team has decided to handle the situation in-house. When and if he plays again, then we can revisit.

Glad you're setting the rules on when we'll be allowed to discuss certain topics.

I'm guessing that Markel plays approximately the same amount he's been playing (b/w 22-28 mins). So whether he starts or not really is irrelevant.
Coach could opt to go with Otto as a starter either as a continued disciplinary measure or because he thinks it's our single best lineup. There's a good argument that this is a particularly good time to do it because our length will bother their shooters and they don't have a bevy of athletic smalls to take advantage of us. But my guess is that (aside from disciplinary possibilities) Markel is back in there. Remember that even when having Nate in there was not part of our best lineup, Coach didn't make a change.
The bottom line is that it really is irrelevant, given Coach's propensity to give PT that does not correspond to who starts.

Based on Coach's past ways - he will NOT change the starting lineup as long as we are winning. That does not mean that Starks won't get get his average usual minutes. Then again this year is full of surprises (Coach too) - so we will just have to wait and see just like Mike Brey.
