This is the most exciting team I have seen since Hibbert, Ewing Jr and Crawford walked across the stage in front of Healy.

For those who have been to the first two games, what song does the team come out to? Also, what song is played when the lineup is announced? Thanks.

As we all know this whole shifting around is based off of money. With the addition of schools like BYU, BSU, UCF Houston..., the Big East has improved the football conference. Now that this is taken care of why not take two more (i.e. Memphis and Temple). I realize they are both not quality football programs but should this matter at this point? Memphis would add a new TV market and Temple shores up Philly and creates natural rivals. Adding a couple of cupcakes the other football teams can beat up on each year should be attractive, especially since the conference already looks to be stronger.

Very pleased to see a the Hoyas blow out the other team. I feel like it has been a very long time since we have completely dominated like this. It sounds like everyone on the court is giving 110% which is a welcome change. This team is going to be very exciting to follow throughout the year. There may be some ups and downs but I can't wait to see how they improve with each passing game.

For anyone that can actually see, how does Jabril look handling the ball? He seems to be the one bringing it up right now.

Sounds like we are taking a lot of threes. Are they just chucking them up or are they open shots?

Somebody on Saturday posted a link to a website that seems to stream most sporting events. Does anybody know the website or have a link? Thanks!

Will the game be streamed on All Access again? It wasn't half bad once Rich was added in.

I am liking the energy we are seeing. This team is playing with a little more pep in their step than we have seen over the past couple of seasons. We have still been passing the ball around the perimeter a lot but there appears to be a lot more off the ball movement than we saw last year.

Going to a hoops only league would be horrible in the long run for Georgetown. We would no longer be considered an elite program. For those who doubt this look at the recap of the Wall Street Alliance. JTIII himself all but said we need the football teams and the conference to remain viable. He pointed out they are the key to TV exposure. Without TV exposure there is now way we can continue to compete for top recruits and stay at the level we are used to.

Can someone explain to me what the benefit to the University is from joining the Ivy League? It's clearly not the athletics. Does it mean we get more money for academics? That we can better professors? Suddenly have space/funding for new facilities? Is our endowment suddenly going to grow? Let's say Georgetown joined the Ivy League. Aside from the fact that everyone can now say that we are an Ivy League school, what's the benefit? This is the question I have been asking myself since this thread started. What do we gain? It seems to me it is just desired to boost peoples egos. Also, I don't understand any of the talk taking place about schools academic reputation in relation to conference affiliation. How does competing against a UCONN on the playing field/court have any impact on our academics? None of the moves taking place today are taking into account anything except for money.

Would one of the larger super conferences be willing to take a team like Georgetown for basketball only? we have a great brand name and would be a draw. I guess what I am asking is can we make a push to the ACC right now to take us for Bball only. It would keep some of our old rivalries alive and add some interesting new ones. They can include a team like Villanova in this to get the Philly market and you can have two divisions of 9 teams.

This game may have serious repercussions for this program... Care to elaborate?

well i learned a few things: semaj is of greek origin, a variant of simon or of hebrew origin also it is slang for a bad word in Australia It is also James spelled backwards. Taking a common name and spelling it backwards is pretty popular.

These rankings are about right. Our RPI right now is 11 and strength of schedule is 1.

Have to disagree with you Dhall. Chris may be inconsistent with his scoring, but it is painfully obvious that he runs the team. Since he has gone down we have looked down right pathetic on the offensive end. Without Chris on the floor everyone is lost. He made everyone around him better, and that is exactly what you want from your point guard.
