Well I read that Md.'s event starts early and that he (Roscoe) may attend both ... but who know's .. either way .. We'll be in the picture for him regardless .. I'm just as excited for the other recruits we will have there .. the atmosphere will be special.

RB .. did you confuse yourself with Justin Anderson? ....... Thats the other Anderson I hope we can create an interest from .. he's from VA... I think Id or Balla have mentioned him often (hairston's young teammate I believe) .. he will also be a star .. any word on where he'll be for MM?
Eighth grader(he will be a frosh this yr) Justin Anderson is one of the best long term prospects in the tournament. The 6-foot-5 phenom has a big time frame, big time bounce and a perimeter game that he already has high confidence in. The class of 2012 prospect will see his name in print for a long, long time.

I'll be keeping my eye on him for the next few yrs .. just happy we're on him so early ... the Kid is gonna be a star! Kyle Anderson 6’6 Guard (Fairlawn, NJ)- Anderson got our nod as the lanky and towering point guard guided one team to a National Title after guiding another to the Las Vegas Main Event crown. The Shawn Livingston type dazzled crowds coast to coast with his slick passes and clutch play. He should be an instant impact on the high school level at Paterson Catholic. actually even though I've heard good things about him ... I haven't seen him play - but I know if the staff is interested then he must have potential and I wouldn't mind having him here .. If I ranked the Recruits mentioned in that Scouts article in order by preference:
1. R. Smith 2. M. Gbinije 3. K. Anderson 4. J. Kendrick 5. Q. Cook 6. R. Odom 7. J. Manning
just my opinion....
and thats not even the full list of underclassmen .. there will be some great prospects there from the 2011 and 2012 class ... Nice to see us on them early.

Not sure how true it is ... but I've also heard Terrence Jones and Will barton will be there ..still trying to find out how true that is ... but they're both top 50 (if not top 25) prospects ... the more the merrier!

well .. we already know having the committed players there is a good thing .. BUT look at the other players so far listed as being at the Hilltop tonight.... ROSCOE SMITH being the most important ... BUT JALEN KENDRICK is a big time recruit .... I'd love to land him ... Rod Odom has the potential to blow up and a 6'8 SG is very rare .. MIKE Gbinije IS BIG TIME as is Kyle Anderson .. Quinn Cook has tons of potential and finally Big John Manning .. we're looking good - hope we can sway a couple of these prospects after tonight ... We already know the program is going in the right dirrection - BUT WOW! I like what I see ... JTIII/Staff are doing their thing .. I won't be there but who ever is attending be sure to let these kids know WE WANT THEM ALL on the HILLTOP! GO HOYAS!

Boz .. I have Fios and Its great .... the only thing I have to do is call and get all the HD channels for my TV .... but the internet service is also much better then Comcast .. over-all I'm content..... As far as MM goes .. I wish I would be able to get there ... but I'll have to settle on the feedback from the board and the small amount they'll show on ESPNU ... I'm excited for the season and can't seem to get away from my PC following both boards .. its addicting and the season hasn't even started yet! lol

some what on the topic of this thread .. I noticed WV got a verbal from a player (deniz kilichi) and it seems UK was on the same prospect but pulled out of his recruitment due to the fact that the player wanted to attend WV's (MM event) instead of theirs ... boy .. all this MM talk has got me amped for the season ... I know we've had a great track record as far as recruits attending our event .. I hope we can continue that pattern ... and GET IT DONE!

alright ... maybe I went to far as to calling him slime ... but thats my opinion ... I've heard stories about him that I cant really elaborate on in a public forum .. but he's no saint and I know this for a fact.

I never liked WEBER and I think he's slime ... and as for the loophole .. scrimage or what ever you call it .. typical WEBER MOVE .. notice how he says " the event was never meant to give Illinois a recruiting advantage, though he acknowledged more recruits were in attendance than there would have been at a traditional Midnight Madness event." GO FIGURE!

Yea ... if you watch the highlights .. you can see Markel #9 has the speed of a cat and a great handle to go with it ... he's not afraid to take it to the tin at all and has a mean pull-up jumper ... I think we're fortunate to get him early and I'm beyond excited he'll be a Hoya .. as far as #7 - Roscoe that is .. wow the potential is sick and I'd love to have him at the Hilltop .. but the problem is so does every college in the world .. lol ... I just want JTIII/staff to stay in the mix .. I believe we have as good a chance as anyone else and GU also has alot to offer ... If we could land Mr. Smith ... I'd forget all about the other player you mentioned .. Starks is a stud and possibly the best guard from that area for the 2010 class. It should be interesting to see how things heat up for Roscoe ... but I have faith in the staff.

just so you know ... Markel Starks was named MVP of the junior game ... 12 pts 6 assists ... ;D .... Roscoe also had a nice showing with 19pts and 6 blocks ... their team won by the score of 89-81 .. I believe .. you can find a write-up about it on CapitolHoops.Com
here's a small piece of it and a link to the highlights:
The most entertaining game of the day goes to the junior class of 2010 , hats off to both the DC and Philly squad for putting on a classic. In the end it would be the DC team who would get the last laugh winning 89-81. Markel Starks , who has committed to Georgetown University ran the show displaying tremendous open court playmaking skills and earning the game MVP. Starks is the kind of guard you love to play with , he is lighting quick and just seems to make getting his teammates the ball almost effortless finishing with 12pts and 6assts.
