seattlepi.nwsource.com/local/6420ap_bkc_gonzaga_madness.htmlsorry if this was already posted somewhere. i could not find a better link but this has been confirmed from multiple places. they also came last year. i don't remember the telecast being that interesting/exciting (alot of feature type pieces and not much of the players themselves) but nice to see ESPNU on our campus for MM at least 2 yrs in a row.

yes ESPNU will be there and they will also be doing the you make the call contest again. Contestants will get to commentate on a segment of the home Georgetown vs. Louisville game and the winner will get to be a guest commentator on the Broadcast of the Providence game. I believe.

Seems like there has been a lot less info. about the event this year at least for people not on campus. Has there been a marketing effort on campus - any updates on what kinda stuff they have planned for this year. I haven't even seen anything on the althletics website.

Nothing's been said on campus about it at all that I have noticed, at least not by the University or the AD. I'm not even sure how students who aren't in Hoya Blue and don't read this board are even supposed to know that MM is tomorrow, except by word-of-mouth and HB's somewhat makeshift sign in Red Square. Kind of strange, if you ask me...

Hopefully it works out, but it should at least be up on the athletics website.

If you go to the list of events for tomorrow at georgetown.edu (again, what a crappy design), it does list "Midnight Madness & Aftershow" in the McDonough parking lot starting at 10:00. It says "For more information, see latenight.georgetown.edu" but when you click on that link it's broken. The more things change...

yea, i just noticed that it was buried in the last "Weekly Events" e-mail from Student Affairs, with the same "Late Night" link. but considering the number of e-mails we (students) get on a DAILY basis for every random academic conference under the sun, you'd think MM would've warranted its own e-mail announcement. (as i think may have been done in years past, as jgalt referenced.) seriously, where are the priorities people??

I believe it was two years ago that they had it on the internet. That was a great chance for us in the hinterlands to see a MM event. Any chance they will have it this year too? I don't think they had it last year - just videos after the fact.

When the Raft touches down in DC, the party will begin. It is a given, no memo needed ;D That's why I thought more people would've heard. I mean, when Raf is in town, everybody wants to know. Who doesn't want to party with him? If anything, it's less skeevy than Digger Phelps:

Does anyone here use Verizon Fios for TV?
I've been thinking about switching everything over because Vonage sucks and Comcast's Internet service ain't much better. Verizon's TV lineup looks every bit as good as Comcast (and does include ESPNU by the way), but I never trust what I read in a promotional Web site so I thought I'd ask if anyone has any personal experience, good or bad.
Sorry, I know this is a digression from the main topic. If anyone has any advice, you can PM it to me, so that we don't get off the subject of Midnight Madness in this thread.
