Philly at happening...
Greensboro is the only possible locale I'd be able to make it to, but since I'm not an alum or student...I'd have to StubHub it

Couldn't see how Seton Hall was out after beating Cincinnati the other night. They're 2-0 against the Cats and SU*cks

Northern Iowa had some good OOC wins this year. After last night, Northern Iowa is in. The only teams I see in question from the MVC right now is Missouri State and Southern Illinois Missouri St is out and Southern Illinois is 50/50 Wichita State, Bradley, Creighton and Northern Iowa are in

So who gets that 4th 1 seed? Texas, Memphis, OSU, and Gonzaga are in the running. I give it to the Buckeyes if they win the Big 11 tournament, otherwise maybe it defaults back to Memphis. Whoever it is, would be great to be the 4/5 seed in that region. I'm going with Ohio St right now, but it always seems like the last #1 seed is up in the air going into confernce tournaments I don't even think Gonzaga should be a 2...They only have 2 top-50 wins and one was against St. Joes I don't think a #2 or #1 should need a buzzer beater to beat San Francisco at home. But that's just me.

Right now I have 5 from the Missouri Valley in and whether or not it stays five depends on Southern Illinois. If they don't win today, then they're out.
Florida St is in but they BETTER beat Miami. Texas A&M and UAB are in similar situations.
Seton Hall and Cincinnati are in without question.
The committee's recent history shows that mediocre teams from power conferences won't get the benefit of the doubt. Northern Iowa got in over Notre Dame and Depaul last year of the strength of TWO top-50 wins and an 11-7 record in the MVC. The reason I bring this up is because it may not seem fair to put teams from the Mountain West, MVC, CAA, WAC and maybe C-USA in the bracket over middle of the pack Power conference teams, it does seem like that's the direction the committee is going. Taking high win teams from mid-majors with high RPI's and a couple of quality wins seems to be the new direction.

I know things will obviously shift a lot between now and bracket time, but for once, kudos to Lunardi for having a good wit in our paring.... Moved up to a 5 seed meeting Florida State. I would have to say that game would scare the crap out of me - based on the highlights I saw, that team looks pretty intense, but then again, they've also managed to lose some bad games too, so whatever. Tough break for SHU that A&M, FSU and Kentucky all won last night. Pretty comparable but the big wins for those three teams all trump NC State (plus you've got to think the committee would rather have the 5th team from the ACC than the 9th from the Big East)... Going to be a real good last couple weeks of the season! I got issues with getting in the tournament with ONE quality win I know Seton Hall had some bad losses, but so did FSU and Texas A&M I think wins over NC State, Syracuse, West Virginia AND Cincinnati >one win over Texas or Duke But that's just me

It appeared that the terrible twosome were making a claim that FSU has always been problematic when it comes tothis kind of thing. Patrick should know. His butt never leaves ACC country. I'm really beginning to think that it's borderline irresponsible for ESPN to allow Patrick and Dukie V to be the commentators for Duke games. Jay Bilas doesn't even show this kind of bias and he went to Duke and played for Coach K

Safe to say FSU just made the tournament. Good win...but they still have work to do. If they lose to Miami this weekend, I doubt they'll make it. Maryland swept Duke last year and they were in the NIT. This is DEFINITELY a big win, but it doesn't automatically put them in.

That's probably because we've been talking about Syracuse a lot.

Yeah...that kind of irks me. They're making the game out to be something more than it is. While it is a great rivalry, I can't believe people outside of the two schools' fans and alumni care about it this much.
I don't. It's a regular season game for God's sake. ESPN is going to look pretty silly if it's a blowout.

Ok, so what can be done about it? Is there someone to write letters to or send emails, a private sense of outrage is not going to get AI on the Olympic team. We can start a petition and send it to USA Basketball

Dwayne Wade struggled at the Olympics last time. His jumpshot is a liability. He's a brilliant player, but he was ineffective in '04.
