The other thing to remember vis-a-vis an on campus arena is that the opposition does not only come from internal university members. The Georgetown community has not exactly been helpful to GU concerning construction (see Wormley School which we had to sell). Also, you have to consider infrastructure, but on campus and off. Think about the traffic on the Key Bridge and M street now. Now imagine 8,000-12,000 more people trying to get to campus without the aid of the Metro. Where do all those people park? There is basically one road that leads to that part of campus. There are other issues to be dealt with besides can we raise the money (which is still a problem).

Let's hope they are wrong on both accounts and they are both top 10 in 2008's draft

Joe Lunardi: If I had to do next year's bracket tomorrow (and I might!), I'd seed the first 10 teams this way:The sad thing is, he probably will do a Bracketology sometime in the next couple of days. The sadder thing is, we'll all read it. The saddest thing is, at least one person is bound to overreact to it. Possibly me, who knows. . . THE TWERPS AS A !@#$^!#$^ SEVEN SEED?!?!? WHAT ARE YOU, !#$^@% NUTS?!?!? Looks like you were right! Check out Gottlieb's quote from today's chat: Doug Gottlieb: It depends on who comes back and who does not. If everyone comes back, Florida will rank higher than UCLA. But there is a possibility that Florida loses Noah and/or Horford. Joe Lunardi is coming out with his first bracketology bracket for next year tomorrow, but all of that depends on who's coming back.

From today's chat with Lunardi:
Jack (Birmingham): What is your top 10 for next year at this point? Some combo of the following teams? LSU, UF, KU, Pitt, Nova, UNC, UCLA, Memphis, OSU, Georgetown, BC, etc. Any other teams you expect to start the year real high up?
Joe Lunardi: If I had to do next year's bracket tomorrow (and I might!), I'd seed the first 10 teams this way: Carolina, Kansas, UCLA, Florida, Villanova, LSU, Texas, Duke, UConn, and Ohio State. Obviously MUCH depends on who comes back to school for many of these teams.
Not that it means ANYTHING at this point, but I figured I'd get some people riled up.

On the pre-selection Bracketology he picked us as one of his 3 teams seeded 5 or lower that could make a run to the Elite 8...
Talked about Jeff as the play-makers, BoBo as senior leadership and our ability to play lock down D
Lets go Hoyas!

Just to keep a little perspective...forget for a second how we lost and who lost to...at the beginning of the season if someone would've told you we would end the season in the top 25, make it to BET semis and have wins over the 2 teams playing in the finals as well as a win over the then undefeated #1 team in the country, you CANNOT honestly say that you would call that a bad season. Did losing tonight in the fashion we did suck? ABSOLUTELY. Nonetheless lets just keep some perspective.

While Jay Bilas might be "always satisfying", Reece Davis certainly is NOT
