After we blow out the Orange, JTIII needs to get on the mike at the postgame and declare "Gerry McNamara's Big East career is officially closed."

We can't spot them points like we've been doing. UCONN was playing catch up the whole time.

SCENE Jack the Bulldog and Otto the Orange are facing each other on a dusty road in a windswept Western town. The locals scatter and flee indoors. A sole patch of tumbleweed rolls across the scene.
Close up on the principals. Each has a steady, resolute look about them. A bead of sweat rolls down Otto's cheek, er, peel. Jack wipes some dust from his brow.
JACK: We both knew it would come to this. OTTO: This ends now.

Hoyas - I beg of you - for all that is good, and righteous, and holy - whatever it takes, however you need to get it done - please, PLEASE whip those despised, lowly, execrable Orangeboys, so I can live in peace, joy and harmony for the rest of the year.

Cuse has nothing left. Two emotionally draining wins, including OT today, in which Gerry played a lot of minutes. I think they wear out in the second half tomorrow.

Against Cuse--you have to leak out and run a bit more then we'd like to or choose to--their guards linger and do a poor job of floor balance-so you can get some cheap points.
I'll go on record and say DevenDORK takes a shot in the face tomorrow and entire Arena applauds--well those not rooting for Cuse. Would be a lovely time to insert AKD in to "clear" the cobwebs of Cheddar Bob.
As for tomorrow's game--better come out with mindset that we need to get going for 40 minutes--we've played with fire and found ways to win--which is always great, but you can't take this approach into every game--it'll catch up with us in a bad way.

You had to want this game. It's a big risk playing them versus playing UCONN:
On one hand, it's definitely a better match-up for us (a team we beat versus a team we did not), but on the other hand, a loss would be so much more hurtful.
Leave it on the floor.

Let's Go Hoyas! We can only hope that Sean "I'm not rooting for my alma mater" McDonough has the mike... He made a comment that this was he, Bilas, and Raf's last half working together (I assume this season), so I guess Shulman and Elmore will be doing the rest of the games.

I like the way this is setting up. Cuse has to be physically and mentally spent and probably feeling a bit safe for the NCAAs after beating UConn, and although we have played two very tight games, our style and pace does not really drain us physically. I think we still have enough left in the tank to take these fools out.

Cuse is defending conference champs, playing Hoyas, and if any of you expect them to be "Down" then you'll be surprised--it's a matter of Hoyas matching the opening adrenaline they'll come with and we need to take game to them as well--a tough game for 40 minutes and more play from Sr's and Jeff like we saw today and we'll be in position to win and go to BET Finals. They aren't going to stink up Garden though and that's my point--we need to match them as they are playing well right now and yet playing a style where GU can wear them down and pick them apart with good ball movement and domination on the glass.

I think both teams will be tired- but that plays to our advantage as we are a better team in the end. It looks like Cuse's young guys are playing better, and McNamara is bailing them out in the end.
If we're up 3 under 10 to go, FOUL HIM!!!!
GO Hoyas, beat the Orange!

You're right, I think they get broken up so Raft can go to wherever he needs to be for CBS this weekend. Not sure if Bilas is with CBS this weekend or ESPN studio.

After a horrible stretch to end the regular season, Bowman is playing the best basketball of his Georgetown career. What a time to turn it on. He has to keep it going tomorrow vs. Cuse in a very winnable (and very losable) game at the Garden. Any Hoya fan as north as Boston and south as DC should re-evaluate their plans for the weekend because this could be special. We should all be at MSG tomorrow night.

Link to the SU-cks board? Anyone?
I just remember after their DePaul loss, the WHOLE SU-cks board was saying McNamara was overrated, this was Boe-whine's worst team in years...
... would be interesting to go back there now. I'm guessing as a group they're pretty fickle.
