He’s favorited 2 tweets from Hoya accounts regarding his announcement vs. none from other programs. Have to feel good about this announcement.
GU’s recent history with elite high school shooters isn’t great, but Anglin plays faster and has a much quicker release than guys like Cameron or Domingo. His shot looks like it should translate well to the next level. A floor spacing shooter should be attractive to other current primary ‘22 targets

We need shooters badly! Last year, we struggled because we primarily had one shooter in Blair. We need to get as many shooters to space the floor for Aminu and Riley so that they are able to slash and attack the basket.

If Anglin picks us, both Carey and Kaiden will both be gone by the time Anglin steps on campus. Right?? If so, we need more shooters! Does Christian Watson have range? What about Whitmore?

Soooo would Denver be a 2? Or are his handles good enough? I haven’t seen him play so wanna describe what we might get in like a sentence or two

If it’s between Georgetown and UConn and he’s only took an unofficial to the Huskies I’d say we should be cautiously optimistic 2nd Rivals prediction from Rob Cassidy for Georgetown. Yaboy do you think this would take us out of the running for Brumbaugh and it's likely all in for a SF for the 2nd spot?

That is how it goes many times in recruiting- you chase a guy like Rice for years, only to not land him. However, if you keep working, with some good fortune you pick up other outstanding prospects like Anglin. Kudos to the staff for always putting in the work. I hope that this recruitment results in the first member of the Hoya 2022 class. If Anglin is close to as deadeye of a shooter as he seems to be, look out. I can hear Rich saying/ shouting, "Riley drives, draws a double team, kicks to Anglin, GOOOOD from three! Oh my!"

Uconn board sounds very disappointed if they lose him to us and other sources call him one of if not the best shooter in the class which can really bust zones and tighter defenses. If Dante improves his 3pt shooting then Denver and him will be very dangerous from outside

If Dante improves his 3pt shooting then Denver and him will be very dangerous from outside And please do not forget what that would do for our slashers. Rice and Aminu will be able to get through the lanes at will (provided both are still playing and have not move on from the program which I don't think they will).

But your point is valid that a shooter like Anglin stretches the floor for all the wings. I'm telling y'all Ewing isn't recruiting like he expects these kids to be on campus for long careers. To be honest I hope we start a revolving door of putting kids in the pros by sophomore year. That means that either recruiting is improving or Ewing and staff are coaching them up. Either one is good for us....IMO

If we get a few into the pros more power to us!
