Ewing yells rebound before Dante’s first FT on a 2 shot foul....lol. Must be anxiety related. This post is hilarious. Well done.

Because of real-life I wasn't able to finish the game until just now. I'll spare everyone my more normal longer posts, particularly given the game we have tomorrow night (perhaps more on that, later) and just say that this was one of the most satisfying wins we have had in a long time. Of course, it wasn't perfect, but our guys got kicked back by Villanova a few times and refused to give up. And, our free throw shooting was spectacular. I think Seton Hall is a very winnable game. Let's do it! Hoya Saxa.

Can’t remember the last time I’ve rewatched a game the same day it happened lol. What a win. Hope we can keep it rolling.

Happy for the victory but one could argue the Hoyas had an overall better showing against Villanova during their first two clashes this season even though both ended up as defeats. The Wildcats were not at full strength. Even if they were favored by nine, those of us who watched those first two games knew better. We were competitive with them when they had more of their key pieces in place which led me to believe we had the upperhand this time around. I am more surprised by the close margin of this win than I am of the win itself.

Was anybody else terrified that Jahvon was gonna get called for bumping Daniels on the last play?

Was anybody else terrified that Jahvon was gonna get called for bumping Daniels on the last play? No. Blair's defense seemed clean to me. I was more worried about Villanova hitting the 3.

Was anybody else terrified that Jahvon was gonna get called for bumping Daniels on the last play? Yes. That was a little touch and go there. However, I couldn’t see an official calling that at the end of a game like this.

I agree I don’t think he fouled him but it would not have shocked me if it got called. Looked like Wright complained about it but that’s a given lol.

It was a god fight the whole way....and even when down by 11 late in the game....our players stayed poised and fought like heck.

Off topic but after listening to the Nova folks complain ad nauseam about JRE foul on Harris, I watched the replay closely and he fouled him twice—with the body and on the arm at the release. Nova fans are so lacking in self-awareness. A key component of their offense for the last decade has been guards throwing themselves into people for bailout calls. Choke on it Jay.

Juggy's D was clean but all Daniels had to do was fall and we are probably singing a different tune today. Instead of RArch typing complaints it would have been Jiggy.

It was clean defense but when has that stopped the refs from calling a foul- especially after giving Dante a foul with 4 seconds left.

Choke on it Jay. ________________________ Can't figure out many Georgetown fans here. It's a great win, enjoy it. Trashing Jay Wright and Villanova fans is kind of funny, but sad.
Guys who impressive college careers who then developed into solid professionals in the NBA (Hart/Bridges/Pascall/DiVincenzo/Brunson/etc.) coupled with a great Head Coach and coaching staff focused on building a terrific culture resulting in 2 of the last 4 National Championship were all the 'key component' over the last decade.
As a Nova/Gtown Alum, I have come on this board over the season and seen posters who were talking down their players after a loss and being ready to get rid of Patrick because he wasn't able to get the team moving forward. Building an elite program takes time, skill, focus, commitment and a bit of luck. Jay's done it, everybody knows it - just look at Patrick's comments yesterday. I wish the same for Gtown ( just not when they're playing Nova).

Was anybody else terrified that Jahvon was gonna get called for bumping Daniels on the last play? Refs would only call that if Ighoefe was in the vicinity.
